I have a supply of Botanicare nutes that are from summer of 2018. They have been kept in a closed cupboard in my greenhouse. In addition to summer heat there have at times been 20f degree out there in winter. Anyone know if they are still viable. Starting up for this summer and before I spend couple hundred on new nutes it would be nice to know if i can use what I have. There's enough for almost the full season this year.

read the date on the bottle. maybe, try it. Turn it upside down and give it a good shake. If you get some inert medium like coco coir or rockwool you'll be able to test them better than in soil.

Their going into rock wool cubes to start. Then after their showing good root system I'll transplant into smaller (about quart or so) plastic pots. I use my own mix of organic compost and good soil. When their good and established they will go into large fabric pots. Some in my greenhouse, some just out on the back patio. Maybe I'll isolate a few just to experiment with the old nutes. Most though will be using fresh new stuff.
