 Flower vs. Shatter

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the majority of people here prefer to smoke flower, or to vape shatter?
I personally like flower mixed with shatter the best, it is such an awesome combination.
I have three different oil burner pipes for vaping shatter, so I really want to get into doing shatter by itself, on its own.
Then again, can you mix shatter with herb in a glass pipe and smoke it like that?
Every time I have mixed the two it was in a joint.
But I prefer to smoke pipes, so I was wondering if I could top a bowl of weed off with some shatter and smoke it with a regular lighter.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I like flower. But I think in a few years I will end up moving on to edibles for the sake of my lungs.
I never heard of people smoking the extract, but I don't know.

I’ve never tried shatter etc. I like flower, or flower with a little kief sprinkled on it. Never did much eating but if my state reps ever stopped sucking satan’s cock and it was legalized I would probably use edibles for meditation and then smoke flower throughout the day.
I’ve had people tell me you just get too high with the concentrates but I don’t know if that’s because they’re little beeoches or if it’s actually true.

I took some concentrate the other day and it made me feel weird. But then again, I don't do it often, so I probably wasn't used to it.
Either way, I won't be doing it again.

I like rosin but I have to be careful not to do too much of it. I mostly vaporize herb these days, with some edibles here and there.

I have a Vaporbrothers VB1 desktop vaporizer, for dry herb. It's miles better than smoking, much easier on the lungs. You can buy water pipe attachments to make it smoother, but they aren't necessary for a good experience.
I was introduced to this specific vaporizer by my friends dad, and after using it just once I knew I had to have one. After finding one used for $40 on ebay, it became my daily driver for 6 years and counting.
Never used a vape pen, probably never will. But I did have a small, discreet pen for wax once.

i dont care for concentrates.. i mean i used to have this friend who was all about dabbing shatter/wax. its okay i guess but it will fuck your tolerance up and flower just wont have the same kick anymore.
and i personally prefer some dank ass flower, easier to control tolerance and super dank flower just has such a variety in tastes.
i also do not like mixing flower with concentrates even slightly. imo its a waste on both aspects.. but to each their own

how is it wasteful to mix flower with a small bit of shatter?
it makes one exponentially higher than if they just smoked straight flower.
To me this is not wasteful in the least bit.

well it depends on whatever you perfer and your method of smoking, for example mixing it into a joint/blunt is absolutely wasteful thats not even debatable and i would argue similar when putting it on a bowl though you could make a case its not..
but i think if you dab it there is 0 waste vs putting an open flame to it and while you might get higher then if you didnt put any concentrate at all on the bowl, i would argue that you would get higher if you just smoked the bowl of flower and then dabbed the shatter then you would if you just did both together because i believe that there will be some escape
you dont have to agree with my opinion or anything, it is just something i have noticed for me. i just dont see a point to mix them
