 Oil concentrate pipe (oil burner) for vaporizing shatter/dabs

Hi, I was wondering why more people don't use oil burner pipes aka meth pipes for vaporizing shatter?
I've vaporized hash with those pipes before and it's very easy and efficient; of course you need a micro torch lighter though.
Why do people go through all the hassle of using an expensive rig to vape concentrates when you can simply drop some shatter in an oil burner pipe and heat it from below with a small torch lighter and vaporize it that way?
I would like to get to the bottom of this.

using a crack/meth pipe to smoke chronic is kind of frowned upon, especially the metal ones. all that dirt inside gets mixed with the chronic.

nah I wouldn't use it to smoke weed, only extracts like shatter or hash.
Plus I have a glass one, it is really nice, it's actually an oil burner bubbler, that is the correct name for the pipe I have.
You can put a small amount of water in it and heat it from beneath the bowl piece and vaporize all the shatter like that.

yeah, using pipes with glass bowls is great then u can heat up the bottom of the pipe with the lighter until it burns the weed
