First Grow Questions

I plan on growing a single plant, but have some questions first. I've looked around but haven't been able to find some solid answers, so I apologize if these are common questions.
I plan on growing the plant in a fairly big closet.
1) is 1 40w CFL bulb, or just a regular fluorescent bulb enough for lighting?
2) how often should feeding take place?
3) how often should watering take place?
Any help is appreciated

that is definitely not enough for lighting, you should feed as much as your plants look like they can take/handle imo. once every 3 or so days with a 15-5-5 chemical nutrient in vegetative growth and with a low as possible but high phosphorus potassium food for flowering, when your plants get big and are in pots they need a good watering every 2 days id say, in the summet heat though daily.
if i were you id talk to true herb crystal about the CFL growing he is currently completing an all cfl grow himself and his little lady is looking very nice

I am currently growing two plants under 6 26w CFL's and one 23w CFL. They are doing perfect! I LST'd them a few days ago and are now starting to bush out.
So, like I said in your other thread the more light you can get the merrier. I bought a three pack of 23 watters and a 6 pack of 26 watters at walmart for twenty bucks.

When it comes do doing the lighting cycle, I would try doing your research about the specific strain your using. Now during each stage in the plants life, the lighting schedule will change. I would suggest getting a light timer that you can plug in to an outlet. When you figure out the lighting time for each stage or cycle of growth, set the timer for the amount of time that your plant needs. (Example, your plant needs 14 hours of light. then set the time for the light to go on at 6 a.m. and then go off at 8 p.m.)
As to watering, you don't want to over water or you could drown the plant. I usually water them any time they look thirsty or when the soil starts looking really dry.
