American needing seeds question

1st post!!
Hello everyone. So i live in the US and i found a website that basically said, we don't gaf, we mail to US, if customs intercepts they'll just send you a letter, there's no legal issues there they are too busy to prosecute, and we'll just send you another one! $60 for feminized seeds.
So what's the deal for a citizen of the country who insists on profiting from the drug trade while "waging war" on drugs?
My buddy gave me some and told me to put them in a soil cup with drainage and water here and there, only one germinated and it died shortly after.
1)seeds? is this site my best option? i'd like an indica and a sativa
2) germination methods? since then, i've heard all kinds of things. microwave a wet paper towel in a ziploc with the seed in there (steam i guess). that site says to drop them in water for a few days until it germinates. Thoughts?

There are many seed vendors, since they contain no THC they are perfectly legal, so pick whichever strikes your fancy.
To germinate, plop the seeds in a small dish of clean water for 24 hours. If they float, poke them under the surface. Be careful not to forget about them, as they can and will drown.
After 24 hours you should see the seeds just beginning to split with a tiny taproot emerging. Carefully plant them in a small cup of soil at a depth of 1-2 cm. Keep the soil moist, not wet. You may find it beneficial to put a small layer of perlite in the bottom to improve drainage.
Don't let the roots sit in water, a little water pooling under your container can cause root rot and kill a seedling.

...i had no idea they were legal. Why all the fuss then?
ok. what i tried before were solo cups with holes poked in the bottom and they fit perfectly snug into a 1/2 pint mason jar. So i could water them once or twice a week and any excess immediately falls down into jar.
I did have one germinate last round, but the tiny green sprout turned brown and died within a day or two. Not sure why.
I guess i'll just go around online and find some seeds to order!

Cannabis seeds are not legal in America on a federal level and will be sized if found at the boarder. However you can buy seed in states that have legalized cannabis but they will not ship to states that have not legalized it. That is why only companies in England or Spain will mail seeds anywhere in the states.
Ever wanted a reason to visit Las Vagas or Hollywood now you have it. But its a lot easier to order online. best of luck.

Wow hello guys I guess I got busy and got carried away, things are quieter over here and I didn't expect an answer.
So I went with feminized seeds from olove growing marijuana.com, I'm not a fan of heir name now that I type it out but only one seed bank was in the US that I found, Bud Aroma, and I wish someone here worked for them so I could list the hundred things I dislike about their website and why I chose to order abroad.
ILGM.com has a decent forum that I've learned a lot in, though I've had to learn to speak gangster or read heavily misspelled posts in order to absorb. I wish the growery was as busy as the shroomery so I wouldn't feel the need to wander.
Anyway, 15 feminized seeds in a mixpack (5 Bruce banner, 5 Skywalker og, 5 black widow) for $119 seems pretty fair for what prices I see. Comes with guaranteed delivery and germination. I see a lot of 5 seeds for 69.99 so I could have done worse.
I can get non guaranteed delivery for cheaper but I dunno about all that.
These should last a few grows and cloning helps too

Some of his hybrids are insanity.
Ps- don't bother asking here. Find another forum because these guys are either all John Q's or too stoned to talk lol.

Truthfully there are many domestic breeders now but I'm not blowing any whistles. Ask this question on Reddit.

ILGM are decent and you can always find a little discount for them if you check in the right places. This is where I found it last time https://yourweedcoupons.com/seed-coupons/i-love-growing-marijuana-coupons/
If you are looking for something specialist check out SeedSupreme. Another based in Europe and they offer a resend insurance thing in case it is stopped at customs. They are worth a look as have a big selection https://www.seedsupreme.com/

Ziplock bag and wet paper towels. In a dark place put them on a seed starter mat at 75°f till the root is 1inch. If they don't pop shave the wide ridge on each side with a razor (plenty of good seeds won't pop on their own). Bury them with a minimal amount of the green showing. Keep a humidity dome over them till they are about a week old removing the lid twice a day for 1hr. GL!
