First time grow "pyramid auto white widow" Indoor soil

Hey guys
So I'm going to start my first grow this Friday. I've attempted grows before and been successful but never took it to fruition cause my pet destroyed it.
First I'm going to be picking up a bag of fox farm ocean fresh from a local store and fox farm trio, ph up and down. I've already received my seeds from a reputable vendor but don't think I'm allowed to post their name.
Here we have 4 pyramid auto white widow feminised, 1 green love potion feminised, and 2 kerala x skunk#1 regular. But will only be starting off with 2 of the white widows.
I'll be using two 5 gallon pots and will have 2'x2'x4' grow tent and at the start I will be using cfl bulbs but ordering a led grow light board. I will also be trying the no nutrients added to ffof until after 6 weeks have passed.
Some other things I have is horticulture molasses and some liquid kelp from last time and some perlite.
Well that's all I have for now but I'm probably going to germ the seeds tonight In zip lock bag and paper towel. And if you have any tips then please be gentle it is my first time.

KISS keep it simple stupid.
Your CFL lights are ok for vegging but I would get a 400w HPS light rather then led for flowering. Stick to potting soil and get rid of that PH up and down, horticulture molasses, liquid kelp and perlite. Potting soil has PH stabilizers in it already as well as all the needed nutrients for vegging. Sometimes less is better, remember weed is a weed and will grow like one if you let it.
But most of all keep your pets out of your tent. Best of luck dude.
FYI auto-flowering plants are great for outdoors because they flower early before the first frost unlike regular plants that flower when getting 12 or less hours of light per day, but are less potent then regular or feminized seeds and therefor should not be grown indoors.

400w hps in a 2x2x4 tent is going to be a bit much. Some of those new quantum boards would work good I think they are 1 inch thick with heatsink remote ballast. The right leds rock The screw in led bulbs would be a better choice for lighting just take the plastic bulb part off. Good luck

Idk if I'll get a hps light cause the part of the house Im doing this has no wall plugs so I have converter to convert my bulb socket into a wall socket and y connectors to splice multiple bulbs in one socket. The led board I'm planning on getting is dual band For flower and veg

Lol and I didn't let the cats into my tent. My wife left the door open to the room but didnt have a tent yet and they dug up and chewed up all the leafs. And I've seen what ur talking about with breaking the plastic part of the bulb. I think if I do bulb leds the I might use a e27 6w 60led dual band or the same but with 72leds and 8w. But mostly wanna go led for lower heat and energy consumption

Only 2.5 days into the germination the seeds have cracked open and can see a piece of it but the tap root hasn't come out yet

Got my 45w 225leds and four are uv and four are ir. Very nice, low heat and extremely bright. Pretty awesome to cause when I turned it on all the colors in my house changed and it was kinda like seeing colors while on mushrooms.

I put the seeds in the 5 gallons yesterday after I could see the tip of the root. I stuck a thermometer in the soil and it reads about 70f, and that may be due to the cold front that came through and lowered the temp. The room itself stays about 80f but was thinking of bumping it to 90f to raise my soil temp till the seedlings become sprouts

Its easier to work with smaller containers and transplant up but going straight to a large pot is fine as well. Just remember when you feed and water there will be some nutes that dont reach the roots yet. They will likely stay in the soil.

Well since it's a auto I put it in the final size container I'm not gonna add nutes till 6 weeks after first leafs unless it shows signs that it needs food.
I have the heater set to 80f, I'm just worried cause that room is poorly insulated and it more reflects the outside temp as opposed to the inside of my house . It's cause its a old house and that room gets a breeze from outside somehow lol.
I'm thinking of starting the other two auto seeds in some 1 gallon pots and see how that turns out. I know it would be less yield but interesting to see.

Hmmm well the one in the pic seems to be a slow starter and the other seed may have died maybe. I did however start a third seed and it's in a smaller pot and coming along nicely and probably faster than the other one lol.

make sure not to bury the whole seed when the tail pops out. Its easy to go too deep and smother them. I generally just drop them on top with a tiny bit of dirt over the top and they will root.
if its coming up though you will be fine. Make sure since you are using ocean forest soil to wait a WHILE before feeding. Ocean forest is known to be both inconsistent and extremely hot from time to time, and can definitely burn clones. I suggest watering with the kelp and molasses once or twice until they are taller, but remember that ocean forest has enough food to last you a while, most likely the whole way through veg since your tent is on the small side.

Yea I like the kelp cause it's a low fertilizer and all natural. Definitely going to wait to add nutrients till needed.
Here us the first seed I started through paper towel method.
Here is the second seed I started several days later but did it in a glass of water for 24hrs. And seems to be faster than the other and it's in a smaller pot that's maybe a half gallon or gallon.
