 LED lights-V-HPS and MH

So I have a chance to set up a grow room for a buddy but he wants prices and specs from me. He has decided on dirt I don't know why I think it may be low cost but I am trying to talk him into MH and HPS but he seems to think the LED are going to save him money and I was wondering myself if some who has used these things tell the pro's and con's of each? Thank you!!!!
I have a 14x13 room to work with and I told him I would paint the walls white and go with 4 1000W bulbs and 36 DWC pots but was shot down on the DWC. I thought DWC would be a good ideal because it keeps nutrient mistakes and other problem more contained than a mass flow of nut all going to one reservoir.

Well start up of led is still WAY more expensive then hps. Although u may save 1/4 1/3 of energy in light more savings is with less AC. Simple to run calculations on energy cost but it looks to me really need alot of watts with led to get hps results and when looking at 5 10x price for led fixture prob not really recooping cost. Do calcs but prob min several years. Less if run AC.
Its better to use a few more 600w instead of 1000pw hps aswell. May be dif now but 600w are more efficient or used to be at least. And better spread
Led less penetration but xooler so can preserve terps better.
Led more expensive but use little less energy.
Def can get grewt results now adays with led so no real argument about that anymore.
Also dont have to change bulbs and depending on what u use def save bucks not buysing bulbs
Could run both and use led for supplemental light. Ie side lights get under the canopy

I already ran the startup cost verses the power consumption factor but what I did for get was the penetration factor of the old school MH and HPS thank you it's been so long since I grew I forgot I just been doing set ups here and there thank you I only have experience with fluorescents and high intensity bulbs eg HIB that penetration makes all the difference in production. I always use the HIB because well I like bushy plants but if he is going to go with the see of green I don't think it will make much difference until fruiting. my experience fluor bulbs cause the plant to shoot up trying to get more light and losing lower suckers which means less branches and so on. I think I am going to toss the ideal of solar to offset the power consumption I don't even know why i'm doing except to keep myself busy I tried to kill my fucking self a week ago. and you want to know the fucked up part I took a loaded gun put it to my head in front of my wife and she fucking stood there I pulled the trigger and nothing then I cyceld the pistol and tried again bad firing pin fucked every one keep talking about god and think of my kids and shit and I just keep thinking if there is a god he hates me and I cant get out of this cluster fuck of a life idk I just needed to get that off my chest life is fucked up and im trapped O ya top it all off doctor tells me I got like 4 years make because of cancer I just cant see the point of going out like that. report me if you want but remember to suck a bowl of dicks first

Dude that is a cry for help, next time try calling a suicide prevention number.
There are tools to make your life bearable whether meditation and medication they do work.
BTW I agree HID are better then LED lights 168 lumens per watt vs less then 100 lumens per watt.

From what I've gathered, LED is a great supplement to HID lighting. Standing alone LED seems like a waste from what I've gathered. Small led panels work great for cloning or a pre-veg. I've also heard that a 400w led and a 600w HPS led to higher yield than a 1000w HPS by itself. I don't have firsthand experience with any substantial LED's but this is what my studies have shown me. I welcome info that says otherwise. I'd like to be educated properly and haven't looked into it in a while. Later taters

Well hard comparison using 2 lights to 1. As if u had 2 500whps def would yeild more then 1 1000w. Although yes 400w led is going to be a bit better then just a 400w hps.
Esp if doing sog 600w prob way to go apposed to less 1000w.

I appreciate every ones concern I am fine well I'm not I tried to kill myself but I tried and i'm done I think I just needed to say it and get it off my chest. i've tried meditation since I was years old it did work at a time and I'v been medicated for two years. Honestly it's not a chemical disbalance it is just life in general. I feel trapped an broken like a tiger who was wild and is now caged and can't get out.

ok lets scrap the LED!!! I've decided if I am going to do the set up it is going to be done right the first time because i don't want to hear any BS later about poor production.
We have a 13x14 space approximately.
The room will run as a grow then we will change the bulbs to veg then we will change over bulbs to bloom.
What wattage HID would you go with and how many?

I'd guess that 2 1000w HIDs would do the trick. Maybe 4 600s

12x13 is bigger then 2 6x6 tents... dont think 2 1000w will cut it.
U should double check but 60-100w per sq ft. Soo 12x13 is 156sq ft x 75= 12000w so 12 1000w or likely better 17-20 600w. Min would be 8 thousand watters. Or 4 tgousands and fill in rest with 600w. Again confirm 600w are still more efficient then 1000watters and mayve could use less as per lumens per sq foot. The sun is 100wpersqft by someones calculations obv ruff as fixtures are different.
Also factor in how ur using floor space. If doing tables need less light if walking rows between. What i was refering too is wall to wall canopy.which isnt really practical.
Not up on lights but double ended or boveda? Not humid packa but similar name expensive but suppost to be nice
