Hi, I didn't know where else to put this, so I posted in smoke lounge.
Does anyone know how long herb will stay stable, fresh and potent if stored away in a tin or glass jar? I actually have some saved in glass jars, some in a tin, and some in a plasic jar. I was just hoping that it would stay good without degrading for quite some time as I cannot really smoke where I live at the moment.

Best thing to do is probably to vacuum pack it and put it in the freezer.

I use vacuum seal-able glass jars with 62 percent boveda bags. They're kept in a cool dark place. And some is over two years old, and I've seen no real loss of potency. But the taste does seem to get earthier as the years pack on.
