Environmental conditions affecting phenotypic expression

We all know cold gices some phenotypes purple expressions, but apparently theres a whole field(according to dj short) of possible expressions, traits, and probably keeper plants in general, due to the methods of indoor growing and the lack of diversity(environmentally), and light difference(schedule,angle/distance). These are particularly relating to sativa traits or `bringing out the sativa`. Historically it being true that sativa strains were originally the prized plants and sought after. While the indicas were bred stictly for production of hashish, and now are heavily inundating the arena of indoor and beyond of mj cult,. So what do you guys do to deal, do you give a fuck? Would you think that certain sttains just arent meant for a room/closet/tent? Im just always looking to do better for the plant, and make the plants perform at their peak, seems to me with the traditional indoor setup, that just isnt possible with some varieties.
Cheers

Sativa was the dominate strain? Wicked. I guess people are going for the head high.

Questionable that it was dominant but def been the sought after for varities of flavor, aroma, and high. Whereas indicas were primarily taste-less hash producers, drier, lacking resin. The suggestion was , to have near perfect setup for sativa plants would be something like a high ceilinged greenhouse kept warmer and slightly more humid, with powerful 5000w hid hung far on high ceilings with runners to maintain some change in angking of light. I wish i could ball out and create.setups like that!!
