I read that the high isn't necessarily connected to the smell a good high would still have a little smell and a couch lock high would be the one that gives off the most aroma. between, heady, milky and amber that could be anywhere from week 7 (recommended flower time) to week 9/10(when it will likely have mostly amber trich's) hell my shit's going on week 10 and it's probably peak milky I missed this harvest window for milky since I gave my plant some nutes and I don't want to kill it per se

40-50% RH isn't in the cure zone and you're just drying out your buds..especially by using silica! %62 RH is what you are aiming for.

Click the link to my dry and cure method in my signature.
The hay smell is from early buds, wait a bit longer next time. Its also very hard to dry and cure just a gram or two. Buds like to sit together to retain their smell and flavor.

If you harvest too early you wont have that skunk taste or smell as much as you would if the fruit is fully ripened. Itll be harsh and taste "planty". Ever ate a green banana? Lol Early harvest would also effect potency since trichomes aren't fully matured overall and not to mention the coloration (clear/milky/amber. And I personally think drying with most fresh air possible works best, next to window but not directly in the sun since light can damage trichomes (correct me if im wrong). Possibly with a fan (fan would be necessary during winter) but not directly because that can damage trichomes. Also the curing process as far as I know is very important when it comes to flavor/aroma. Properly curing will evenly distribute moisture in buds to perfect drying and pull out flavor/aroma. Buds that aren't cured properly can also give you a "planty" taste.

If your flowering with cfl that also may have something to do with it overall. Can't say from experience but I read flowering with cfl will give you less dense buds then using hps.
