Snapped seedling!

Hello all, I'm new here..some of ya may remember me from shroomery. Anyway, ive started an outdoor grow and have quite a few seedlings going, but I had one auto flower jack herer seedling I was looking forward to experimenting with after a successful regular grow last summer.
Now I've been having trouble with mice chewing the first set of leaves off some of my seedlings so I put a few mouse traps near my pots. Today I was outside and heard a trap snap do I went to it and the trap had taken out my auto jack right at dirt level!
Is there anyway to save it, like replanting or putting in water to re root it or am I probably screwed I'm thinking..?
I put it back in soil and gave it a good watering

I had a plant that was dying from being dampened off so I cut the stem above the damage and rooted it like a clone then vegged it for at least a month it had to be, it barely grew during this time. Now it's legit as hell which really makes me happy. Yours is an auto which has a set life span so you couldn't veg it for a month and then have it keep vegging til it got big enough to yield. I'd say start a new auto but keep this one going to cause it might get something even just some hairs you could self pollinate

If its completely severed its most likely toast. I've had branches snap but not completely. I was able to tape it up and it healed in a few weeks. I suggest switching to sticky traps to prevent this from happening again.

Thanks for the advice y'all, I appreciate it very much. I'll keep my auto jack seedling in moist soil and hopefully it roots again but I am not counting on it. Luckily I have 5 blue dream, 5 lemon kush, 5 gods gift, a few gods afghani and about 15 other plants, all seedlings right now but I guess I'll just have to wait to mid or late sept to reap the benefits (hopefully )
