So yeah. Pick on me if you must but I've never taken a proper dab. I've smoked lots of hash off pins and in joints and shit bit never did a dab.
Anything to compare it to? I've been completely out of my mind on edibles and shit so I'm not scared, just curious haha.
I see girls on instagram and shit ripping dabs all day and being barely phased. Then I see this old guy who can't tell he's sitting down.

Dabs are awesome. I feel like a smoked a few joints. Although dabs tend to irritate the throat.

ya they irritate my throat too, and if u take a HUGE dab it gives that "take your breath away" feelin
Ive been doin dabs for 12 years now. These days i prefer bubble hash for sure (less heady then dabs)

I prefer bubble hash as well. Dabs will hit you strait in the head. Causes lots of pressure for me. I was really uneasy for hours after my first dab. That guy gave the old man a really fat dab for his first time. Kinda dicks

I mostly dab exclusively now when I do smoke.
It's not as stoney, more of a clear but powerful high. Definitely suits me.
You will love it. Nothing to be scared of anyway unless you are stupid and do an unreasonable dab.

It just hits you really fast, don't take too big of a hit and it won't be harsh and you can hold it.
And about 2 minutes later your high as fuck.

I've gotten pretty fucked up off dabs a few times. Once I tried rolling a joint afterwards and I felt like my arms were 100 ft. long and the joint was ant size, shit was trippy as fuck.

Dabs are even stronger than edibles. It can range into the low 90 percent(in SoCal at least) and like others said, its more of a heady high, with a creeper body high, the high doesn't last very long(at least for me, but I dab daily for crohns), but it's 100x more intense and fast acting(30 seconds type of feeling especially if you are not used to it) But I put it like this, weed is comparable to beer... You can take a few bowls and be fine... While dabs are more like hard liquor... Take a shot or 2 and you already start to feel it.

Dabbing is like smoking 2 bowls in one hit, you get baked as fuck quick.
So it depends, sometimes you'd rather work yourself up to that level slowly sometimes you wanna take a jet.

Dude its not about per gram strength but how your body absorbs it!
Orally absorbed thc can get pretty frightening.
You cant get it from your lungs to your body and have it fuck you up for 2 whole days the way it will if you eat it!
Most commercially made "edibles" arent strong like the ones you can make.
They are dosed and guaged for a safe and uniform level product.
Orally consumed thc is the strongest hands down.
I dont care if youre smoking 100% thc.

edibles are by favorite hands down. Takes a while to hit, but the liver metabolizes it to become more bio-available. Take a dab that is too strong and you will be uncomfortable for a couple hours tops. Have an edible too strong and that shit lasts all day.

-I grind up my bud (don't need more than a 1/2g of medical quality bud)
-toss it in the oven at 310F ish for about 15 minutes in a pyrex dish or something
-take it out, lightly coat the plant matter with coconut oil
-Heat water, add herb, simmer it just under a boil for about 20-30 minutes
Usually near the end I add creme and the usual ingredients for chai tea, just for flavour. Add some honey and consume.
I know most people will tell me that with the coconut oil n' boil method you don't need to decarb your weed in the oven or anything but I've tried both ways and feel using the oven first is the preferred method ( jus my opinon)

Glad you liked it bud, it kind of caught me a little off guard the first time I made it. Did it around 11 or noon the first time and lasted aaaallllllll day, only I felt like I was continuously coming up on my high until I was in bed- it was insane.
Cannabis tea is seriously under-rated in my opinion.
