This is my first visit/post on Growery. Was browsing and posting on Shroomery but I can already tell I am going to love it here more than anywhere else on the web. I love weed and you all do to! Let's chat all!

My girlfriend and I want to try them. We just want to be able to go hunt some in the woods around our area then give it a little try. I have never even tried them before..

Yeah man, a good place to start is giving us a general idea of where you live so we know what kind of actives might even grow near you.
Whats your living situation man? Do you have your own spot? Because depending on where you live, some kind of poor-man's cultivation method might be a more realistic option. Really saves out on you having to go through the "did I just eat the right kind of mushrooms?" head-trip during your first mushroom experience lol

It costs all of like $25 to grow multiple Oz of mushrooms. You can buy pre-made Spawn bags on eBay and pre-made syringes elsewhere. It's almost harder to fuck up than it is to get at least SOME mushrooms. Definitely at least your $25 worth.

Why should that mean it isn't real?

I like hunting for medicinals. I found cultivated actives to be much more potent than anything found in the wild. WAY more potent.

Hell with that. Nobody here sells for less than $60 1/8th unless you are buying in bulk. The problem I had with the cultivated is that they are too damn huge. Like, one is enough to dose 3 people to tripping hard. Went to wal-mart with my boy a couple years back on black friday while tripping. That shit was way too intense lol.

The black market here is absurd. I don't think there is a very big market for them here. E costs $25 each and bud costs 100-120 a q. This place has one of the worst crystal meth problems though. I guess that is what happens when most of it comes here by boat.

Not taking that one back. It is true that I find cultivated to be more potent. Cubes can only get to a certain percentage of actives (as with any actives), and is more consistent in a good isolated genome in a controlled environment. There might be a small chance you find something stronger depending where you are on the map (not in most of the U.S.).

Oh god, I was thinking about how jealous I am of you guy's bud prices. Then I forget how much EVERYTHING costs here. A gallon of milk just cost me $7 and a dozen eggs was $5. How is the gas prices on the mainland? We are sitting at 3.05, which has been a huge relief on us.

I complain about the prices and the police here, but there isn't really anywhere else in the states I would rather live. Plus, I haven't been shot at or robbed at gunpoint since I moved here lol. Oh, and Asian women, lots and lots of Asian women hahaha.
Ya, cubes are the worst for sure. It's just the common when you think "shrooms." I don't think it gets cold enough here for azures, but we do have plenty of pan cyans. I should take a print the next time I find some. Just paranoid to have anything like that around now that I have my legal grow going and my future in mind. I don't think I'll ever be doing it again as much as I enjoy it.

Ooo this page is pretty neat. If you do go hunting, you should take pictures of the mushroom where you find it at and have it identified before eating them. Getting a spore print is a good idea too. Sometimes they can look similar and can mess your day up if you get the wrong one. Safety first!
It's probably due to lack of market on it. I hardly ever hear people asking for them. Now if you sell ice or e here, you are like the fairy godmother. I think the rave scene here is way too popular considering how small an area we live. Mostly teenagers too. They have had a big push to deal with the ice problem here though, so they treat it like florida treats people with cannabis.

I have done a little research and I also tried to match pictures with names off that link. (I found that link the other day on shroomery) lol. I can send you my "shroomdex" I made if you want to make sure everything looks good I just got the pics off of google. I just don't know what one I should look for in mason county.

Personally, with what little information I have, I would look for Psilocybe azurescens, Psilocybe cyanescens, and Psilocybe stuntzii in mulchy areas of the parks around your area- it looks like there's a ton judging by google maps.
These are fairly common in your area it looks like, and will be species that are sure to be easily ID'd by people helping you.
edit: I would keep an eye out for allenii as well, even though it's listen as south WA. Really you should get familiar with everything in your area (including toxic look-a-likes of common species you might be looking for) but these are the specific few I personally would have in mind while shuffling around your neck of the woods.

just hike out or even walk around into your local areas and keep an open eye. maybe take a camera to document your surrounding areas (e.g., trees, mulch, soil, and moisture/sunlight spots) and compare to where wild actives prefer to thrive.
welcome aboard to this rolling canna-circus that is the growery
