I woke up this morning and heard drizzlingand walked outside to notice raining for the first time of the end of the summer!
For me its sooooooo exciting because i know the big rains are about to come pouring...Anyone else from Oregon feel the rains? Anybody who went to HempFest and noticed the rain knows what im talkn about
'Bout to be SOOOOOO much mushrooms out coming this late Sep-Dec....but im wondering if anything can be found this early with the first small few rains? Probly not im just impatient...
Anyone else from Oregon who noticed the rain/cant wait until falltime ......

The earliest I've ever found them here is Mid-Late October, and believe me I've wasted a lot of time looking early.
How far inland are you from the coast?

True about the budrot weather...DAMN..that was my 1st thought when i woke up other than mushrooms was "fuck my pre-bud got rained on"...then i of course started dancing around at the happiness of mushroom season.
And i live just a few miles west out of GP and i will be looking in that town for cyans soon in the rains...But i drive to Brookings or the coast overall to pick amanita muscaria and cyans/libs..
Im about to sell a gram of DMT for like $50 really quick to raise money to greyhound to astoria to pick AZURESCENS!!! cant wait

There aint much psilocybe mushrooms in the midwest but maybe cubensis in cowshit....
All the good finds are in the Pacific North West...Northern Cali, Oregon, and Washington,..And im talkn like the west part of oregon, west part of north cali and west part of washington
You know when you look on google earth and there is a green "strip" of green-ness on the coastal region of north cali, oregon, and up to washington on the LEFT side of each state
Like from the I-5 main highway going through oregon and left of it towards the coast is about the only good spots for mushrooms in oregon/nrth cali/washington...go eastern oregon and you see cactus..

Are you implying there is something wrong with cubensis growing from cow shit?

No...i was just saying that up here in the PNW we got a WAY bigger variety of mushrooms like psilocybe baeocystis, psilocybe cyanescens, psilocybe azurescens, psilocybe subaeruginosa, psilocybe subaeruginascens, psilocybe pelliculosa, psilocybe semilanceata(liberty caps), amanita muscaria(mario red mushroom), but we actually DONT have cubensis up here is the funny thing
We have many woodloving mushrooms and libs in cowfields grass but the only mushroom that grows on/out of cowshit/horseshit up here is panaeolus cinctulus, which grows in every state of this country including kansas...so in kansas you got psilocybe cubensis/panaeolous cinctulus in cowshit to look for in the rainy seasons..maybe more i dont know about...

Actually in cow pastures it doesn't even need to be the rainy season. Just next to the watering hole.
I've found some in the middle of june/july before on cow shit.
But yea, variety would be cool I suppose.
However Kansas is pretty damn good at growing plants.

At times they do patrol the beach approaches and tourist areas, but they are far too lazy to wander about the dunes looking for pickers. Most busts are just opportunistic.

We used to go to MickyD's and get drinks, and then stuff them into the cups as we went acting like tourist.
It's an art to act inconspicuous while picking mushrooms around people.
