I have an auto Northern Lights seedling that has a very dense small yellow leaf. The rest of the plant is growing fine just not this one under developed leaf. Any thoughts?
soak and towel method, grown in foxfarm ocean with a 150hps lamp I have a GDP plant two days older doing much better lol

Ahh. easy solution. I've done this myself....
You should be starting seeds in a low nutrient mix or seed starter. Although I find common seed starter retains moisture annoyingly long. Fox farm makes one called "light warrior" but you could cut your ocean forest with promix, coir, or anything else that's nutrient free. You're aming for maybe a half gallon of nute free medium and about a handful of the ocean forest.
Ocean forest is too rich for seedlings and fries them, causing stunted, runty little weird plants... Some strains handle high nutes when young than others. Its great soil for reasonably developed plants tho and has a great nutrient profile for flowering. Impressive I'd say. Although costly.
As a new grower, make sure you also pay attention to your water. This is major.... If you're not ready to play the whole PH game yet, in the very least make sure your water is completely free of chlorine by letting it sit in an open container for at least a day prior.

I use happy frog for seedlings then do about a 50/50 of happyfrog/oceanforest when they get a bit bigger or if I'm potting rooted clones.
That happyfrog by it's self has had to been fed pretty often when your plants are in any other stage and I think has been the major contributing factor to me developing a cal deficiency, but imo for starting seedlings it works great.
Love that ocean forest for bigger plants, my plants on this second go around are looking fiercely healthy.

Yeah. The first time I used that soil I was like...whoah. muscular growth
Their "bush doctor coco loco" is some awesome shit too!
My personal goal actually is to eventually go totally organic with things like guano, kelp, fis bone mean, active aerated compost tea, ect. . I wanna be able to eat a leaf at any stage I want and not have worries. That's the way it should be anyway I feel.
I've always thought that you could never completely "flush" something from a plant anyway. Especially on surface areas. Its like the equivalent of dirty acid. If it TASTES clean and makes you trip, the chemist is satisfied. I use chems now but the plan is to move to better things.
