supplements...worth the cost?

In general what do you all think?
I did a grow with all kinds of different shit...now im doin just ff base. Cant really notice a big diff.
Im talkin about sweeteners and yield boosters and all that.
Is it the difference between crazy and super crazy good or are benefits usually minimal.
Feel free to post any favorite supplements if you have good results with some!

My opinion on boosters is this.
they can be worth it to an extent, if you are an experienced grower. At a minimum I would recommend adding Blackstrap.
A lot of them are bullshit though. I wont touch the Humboldt county shit. But I love me some Silica blast, and PHC biopack.

Yeah i always use strapped...and im currently using the silica blast for the heat.
I know some supplements with a very sprcific purpose work ie: silica blast for heat
What im real iffy about is like the fox farm adds...
40$ each so about 100 for all 3. Then you only use a tiny amount for like a week wtf. Sounds like bs to me. Especially when the.description is just "bigger buds"

well silica also helps with building stronger cell walls wich will help it be a little more pest/disease resistance. or that's what i thought i read it helps with also besides heat.

Are you talking about Beastie blooms and the such? If so there are many other alternatives to those. I personally just use gh's kool bloom as a pk booster

Well just supplements in general.
The fox farm ones are really expensive. The beastie, open sesame, and cha ching.
Im just wondering if people here use em a lot or if most people stick to just the base nutes.

Usually I'm pretty much against em. I do use the Fox Farm ones though and have noticed a difference. I myself was a GH Kool Bloom user and it did improve things. The cost isn't different in the long run actually the Fox Farm ended up costing me less. The GH uses 1 to 2 tsp per gallon. The Fox Farm uses 1/4 tsp unless you use it alone then it's 1 tsp per gallon. I use it with other nutrients so it's a 1/4 tsp.
I do like the GH and most of their products to be honest. GH, Fox Farm, and Advanced Nutrients products can usually meet the claims they make. In recent years though Advanced Nutrients has gotten a little far fetched with some of their products.
If ya don't want to pay the extra amount for the Fox Farm cause it does cost more at the counter the GH will do you just fine.

i use all of advanced nutrients flowering additives and love their shit. yes some of their nutes are expensive......but you get it all back when you harvest. its a worth while investment which ever line you choose. a ppm meter would also be a good idea. again this also would be a worth while investment.
I've never used gh nutes. fox farm has a solid line. i have used their base nutes with flowering additives and grew some great smoke. the nutes lasted me a few grows. their feeding charts are super simple to follow as well.

Because somewhere, deep inside your psyche, you knew you would be giving it to me for free today. Have been contemplating getting the Fox Farm supplements, I already use their soil and base nutes.
Would it be best to pick one, or try to use the entire lineup? Idk why but I just feel like it would be begging for burn to try and use them all. (This goes for all supplements, not just FF. I feel like I'd be flirting with disaster by using any.)

If you look at the ff schedule...you never use them at the same time...
First the open sesame to start flowering, then beastie for bulk, then finish with cha ching
At least thats what they claim...

I love em and they work well for me but everybody has their preference.
On Man Eater and GSC I added Tiger Bloom till I hit 1.2ec then I add 1/4 of whatever one of the Fox Farm additives per gallon. Ends up at about 1.8ec.
This is the start of my latest batch for smoke. The seconed pic is two and a half weeks after the first. they were put in flowering on June the 10th. The larger plants in the front of the first pic are new Mothers.

Ok, I'll do a log for ya I have no prob with that.
How do you want me to do it? Just the flowering tent or the whole process from cutting to harvest?
I'll include everything. How I do everything and the mixes I use. I don't use the standard Fox Farm chart I kind of do my own thing.
I do pretty good grow logs here is a example
I was asked to do the same thing for mushrooms. Here it is.

me personally....i'd love to see the tents progress in flower. Veg is boring imo. I've got 30 plants veg'n right now......but won't start a log until the first day of flower.
although I'm sure there are many memberz that would love to see you do a log from cutting to harvest. maybe someone else will chime in.

I can't find anything on ANY state trying to ban bat guano. I think someone is pulling your chain man.

Either way as far as I'm concerned. Just flowering would be easy. I'm lazy so I way overfill my resses with nutrient solution so I don't change them as often as people say to so my flowering grow log would consists of 3 posts with a few pics and the numbers and amounts of the nutrient solution.
