Golden Goat & MK Ultra (first grow - Completed 2/26/15)
    #766768 - 01/22/15 11:03 AM (9 years, 9 months ago)

Hello gents.

CrushNazT has encouraged me to share with you some of my progress coming abound in my first grow. Even though cultivation is quite legal here, I've had some inhibitions in sharing photographs for pride's sake.

This being my first attempt I'm not without the belief that I have much to learn- however I would greatly appreciate keeping criticism in this thread constructive.

So let's pop open that tent.

First up, lets pull out that Golden Goat - the image uploader is flipping some of my images no matter what option I choose when I upload so bear with me please.

Next up we have the MK Ultra - these guys would have benefited a lot from some LST or something but that's something I wasn't wanting to mess with on my first go.

I have two mkultra plants, both are much less robust than the GG but I'm happy to have it. Found the seeds in a stash I was smoking a couple months ago. I know the plant it came from was grown outside but that wasn't going to stop me from seeing how it does in a tent anyway.

Lastly, I have 4 GG plants- two of them are very tall and lanky the other two are featured in the first set of picutres.

Here they are next to each other. My friend who gave me the seeds told me the strain was not very stable. I am willing to agree with him, however I assumed it was because the container is so small.
Was going to transplant but time got away from me. Will do next time- however I don't think I bothered cloning the lanky ones.

I am planning on just making hash or edibles with the larger less attractive plants. Their flowers are present but not much to be excited about.

Until next time.

Update 1/28

Golden goat has put on a lot more weight, mkultra has really started to fill out a bit more too. Need to get better pics of the mkultra - might wait till next week or something.

1/29 or just till tomorrow, mkultra:

hell yea man. thanks for posting your grow. its lookin good. what soil and nutrients are you using?

BTW look over that MK ultra EXTREMELY well RIGHT NOW (when the light is on i mean) and look for male flowers. i bought seeds FROM adam dunn who made the strain, and ended up having shitty genetics, my mk ultras threw out a BUNCH of male flowers in week 5 and i had nothing bud seeds. i mean, dozens of seeds in a couple grams of bud.

so because of that experience, and having killed off other THSeeds strains at WORK because they all started throwing a bunch of nanners and sometimes seeds, i dont trust their genetics... heavy duty fruity was one of the strains we killed off, and i think cold creek kush too. just a word of caution.

I have been using happyfrog soil and Peruvian Gold's line (micronutes, head start, bloom rush) throughout veg - in addition to that I have some bud candy going in with some foxfarms big bloom now that I'm in bloom. Obviously have long stopped the veg supplements at this point in time.

I just got back from double and triple checking the MKultra - we're good on them being just female I think.  Thanks for the tip.

I will keep a hawkeye on it and let you know what happens with it.

That's a shame crush...
I've never grown that "heavy duty fruity" but when I smoked it I couldn't get over how good that taste was. Arguably the best tasting weed I've ever had.
& good luck sleepAid. lookin good

Awww yeah.  Almost there.  Then you can taste sweet victory lol.  How long did you veg them for?  You should try scrog for your next run and see how well they train.

I feel you on the sketch factor.  Had somebody on the sister site with no posts message me telling me the name of the city I live in and asking if I knew where he could score.  Fucking pig wasting his time if he thinks I'm doing something illegal lol. :tardhi:

Thanks Cheezy- I will definitely be training my plants next go around. I vegged them for about a month and a half, I believe.

Not a sketch factor- Cultivation is perfectly legal here, I just didn't want to make a fool of myself posting pictures around people who know what they're doing (this being my first grow) hahaha

Ahh.  Mine is under a state medical grow.  The police here are crooked though and have been well known to steal people's shit and threaten with charges to keep your mouth shut.  Gotta love that police state.

Quick update

MK Ultra is looking nice, buds getting thicker:

Oh yeah, those tall plants? They got taller. They have buds going on but it's mediocre at best so the two big guys I have going will find their way into a bubblebag, I'm not even gonna fuck with trying to get nugs off them

The smaller plants I guess you could say have started, I haven't watered them since they got their last nutes and they'll be flushing from now on. I feel like the date for harvest I PMed you may have been a miscalculation (too early) so I should still get about two weeks of flushing.

The bigger ones I will actually try to let go a bit longer to see if I can get it to thicken out just slightly. May as well make lemonade with my lemons, and I'm in no hurry.

As always, any advice is much appreciated

Hey dmt, sorry I had actually seen this then forgotten to reply 2 days ago.

The mkultra has a very piercingly sweet scent, very fruity sweet. Reminds me a lot of juicyfruit bubblegum with a kushy aftertaste.

The golden goat also has a sweetness but is a more robust and has obviously green herbal aromas coming through. Not herbal to the point of semi sourness, it's light and pleasant, mixing well with the other undertones to make a very well rounded profile.

I'm actually surprised how much I am enjoying this, dmt. To be honest when I had originally started this undertaking it was to save me some money on smoke. However, I find taking care of plants extremely soothing and it has been a large part of my recovery from a very self-destructive lifestyle.. I feel the same way about peppers, I love my pepper garden. It is my zen place. Very rewarding.

It really is, I cant wait until it's a bit warmer and I actually have stuff growing outside. I built some raised beds outside and made a thread about how I went about it a couple days ago. My pepper garden this year will be glorious.

I actually just salvaged some wood from our old backyard fence to make a little waste not-want-not flowerbed next to my chickens.

I also own some rather large carnivorous lizards and just ordered them some custom whole-ground deer sausages to help suppliment their diet. I thought it would be a shame to let their packaging go to waste, so....

check these cool snow shots

chickens are something I would like as well ,really I guess all around working of the land is the plan, having a mini farm maybe,
must be some serious lizards you got there by the size of those deer sausages lol.

That's awesome, those snow shots are lovely! I wish I was out in the country as well but I live in a residential neighborhood, I don't know if you can tell from the pictures. You can own up to ten chickens though, no roosters. I have three quail that aren't cold hardy but if I can build a coop with that reclaimed wood I will get a flock of Coturnix quail this year.

It is legal to grow here but I have neighbours at the end of the street who practically run a crack house and I don't trust anyone not to hop my fence. I could go on about the residents there (one woman and her 18 kids) but suffice it to say it is not a classy situation. Plus I think you need bud in a lockable area.

The beds I've been building all over the back is so I can try to grow the majority of my own vegetables this year. That particular bed with the reclaimed wood will be for carrots, lettuce, kale, and other veggies like that. I have another bed for herbs, and another larger one for my peppers and any other large crops.

And yes, I have an Argentine black and white tegu and an Argus monitor lizard. The tegu will max out at around 4-4.5ft, the monitor lizard probably about 3 feet but her mate (once I decide it's time to get her one) is likely to top at 5.

ya im a bit nervous about my location ,it a bunch of tightly placed town homes and you can see who lives ware and when they come and go and im the only person that doesn't have a room mate and its not like im seen coming and going to work everyday so im seeing that its time to move on before I get to comfortable were I am .

would like at the least a balcony so I can do tomato's n beans n stuff but maybe a 2br in low rise is what im thinking ,I would hit the country but my martial arts training would not be as convenient

Yeah I had started to think that but was under the impression that an even spread on trichomes was a more important indicator than the hairs. since I was already done with a 2 week flush I figured I'd just try to aim better next time around.

I ain't mad, I didn't expect things to even work out this well coming from knowing nothing.

I would prefer to have uniformly orange hairs and am going to start my flush a week or two later than I did this time. I was hoping they would finish up during the flush but my timing was a bit off.

No, I bought one of those hanging nets setups so I chopped my branches up. I just wanted to show off my badass jars. Stuck the herb in there to make sure only 6 jars was gonna be enough.

this is them right now

edit: shit's dry enough to smoke though, I'm smoking a bowl of the MKUltra right now. Obviously doesn't taste that great but it's smooth enough and im pretty high.

Nice nuggs . I grew mk ultra a few months ago.  Different taste but very good.  My darkstar and cold creek kush from t.h. seeds was way better. If you can try those strain.  You wont be disapointed

Good shit man.  The way it was meant to be.  I think I will do a proper grow log on these cookies kush seeds once I get it to flower.  I really want something that tastes good though.  More popular with the ladies

Thats the first seed I ordered. Its one of those buds that you smoke to get high after you've been smoking bud all day. Its stoney as heck.

This plant did 8 ounces.

My understanding is that you can smell chemdog from a mile away.

I mixed up c4 and chemdog for a second in my head. I guess I'll try to get my hands on it but I would have to order them, which is a process to which I am fairly naive. I think I have a friend who has access to some clones of it but he's one of those dudes you arrange a time with 10 times on the phone and see him once.

I want an indica dominant garden- after growing majority golden goat my preference for indica strains has become a lot more tangible.

Unreliable people? not following ya...

greenhouse chem dog is not the famous "chem dawg" , although related from a sour diesel parent.
Its just totally dank. The taste, like I said, will shock you.

I always liked sweeter, fruity pebbles smelling weed before I grew that one.

Yes yes yes...it stinks. Not nearly as bad as the trainwreck tho!

I just chopped like 8 clones of mk. Gonna phase out that gg after the ones I have now grow out. then once my all mk shit grows in I'll start c4 and ace of spades seeds and figure out which I like and what ratio of plants I want. if I'm not satisfied at that time then I'll figure out what strain I want to swap out for a new one.

Ahh..
I love doing strain tests... unless they're dissapointing.
Man, the pheno I got of Dinafems Moby Dick is a real knockout too....
Its like lemon candy with a heavy dank pungency in the pipe. Strong taste.
Super heady & stony too..
That smell....

I could pretty much grow like 20 strains and have a couple that stand above the rest.

I've got my moby dick curing right now.  It has a pleasant citrus smell kind of like the skin of a lemon, not stinky at all.  Honestly, I don't even have to run a filter with it.  I can't wait to try some of the main colas.  Just the smaller bud had my mind fucked.  Can only imagine how the real deal is lol.

A couple of my lady friends want to try something fruity flavored. I was thinking either Blue Tara or Sunshine Daydream from Bodhi and make f2's.  I'm told the blueberry muffin pheno's are the shit.

Agent orange...
Hey nice man\ you got the lemon pheno too!
Clone that cuz when your jars gone, you're gonna want more!
Super enjoyable smoke keeps you coming back till its gone...
When I first ran it, I underestimated its bud potential cuz its veg growth is kinda tall/ wirey
Top notch!  smells like lemon heads candy

Good stuff.  It's kinda strange because I'm more of an indica guy myself but every other person I smoke with like sativa. I had some good jack herer that got me into sativa a bit more. Still yet, it's good to have some decent buds.  Hopefully makes some good bubble with the trim too.

Yeah, dude who I was talking about I've been trying to get bubble bags from for over a month now. He's going through it in his personal life right just this minute.

He normally grows 6 blue dream plants but he said he's probably going to get 6 entirely different strains next grow instead and offered me clones. One of which was chemdog.

I've grown all mine from found/given seed so far except the clones I've made myself.. The idea of bringing mites in or something is painful to consider so I'm not sure how much I want to accept a clone from someone elses home. I was offered some phantom cookies clones but that is also having some difficulty on the connect. Might just stick with my seed process since I'm in full control of it and dont have to rely on a second or third party.

love testing myself ,im the mids of testing 15 different plants as we speak so I have been pretty stoned for the passed week lol, still have some to try yet but so far its all looks and smell, not hitting the flavor that im looking for but there is one sour hashberry that is showing some promise ,other then that I would have to say my bubba og citrus cut is the best I have ,kushy with a nice orange citrus.
talking about lemon lemmon skunk is something on my list .

that's probably a smart idea.  Maybe you can  grow it under a CFL in a different grow room for a bit to make sure it doesn't have aphids.  I would love to run a bunch of different strains, but my state only allows a small number of plants so I need to find a couple of keepers to rotate.  my state is trying to make it to where I can have additional plants if I have registered patients to grow for.

I can grow a total of 12 plants at a time for recreational use as long as only 6 our flowering at a time. I might kill off the two GG plants I have that are looking like they'll shoot up like the last two who went almost two meters tall and start some seeds.

My lsst strain was like that. Didnt like any type of training or topping.  Unruly bitch!

In my state you must have a medical recomendation to grow and we are allowed 6 mature or flowering plants 12 vegging and up to 99 seedlings or clones.  Seedlings and clones are considered under 12inches by 12 inches. Itake like thirty cuts at a time. Keep the healthiest 8 and sell/ donate the rest.  Then work off them 8.  I vegg for a month or two at least. Get them bitches bushy.
