HAMMOND, La. -- Louisiana State Police recovered 200 pounds of marijuana after pulling over a Texas man during a traffic stop near Hammond.
State police say the haul is worth $200,000.
The incident happened on Interstate 12 near mile marker 40 at about 8 a.m. Monday.
Police pulled over Matthew Llanas, 37, after "he committed a traffic violation." Deputies called out a K-9 unit, and after a search, they found the marijuana in the vehicle.
Llanas is facing charges for the traffic violation and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

SleepAid's Notes: traffic violation aside, in LA he's looking at "a term of imprisonment at hard labor of not less than five years, nor more than thirty years, and to pay a fine of not less than fifty thousand dollars nor more than one hundred thousand dollars". So no matter what he's doing 5 years and paying 50k+ in fines.
-------------------- Signature this, ho.
