Veg time indoors

How long do you prefer veggin indoors yourself? I have 2 rooms in flower about 3 weeks from harvest, and my veg room with about 70-80 clones already in dirt all about a foot tall.I'm wondering if I should throw them all into flower when I harvest my 2 flower rooms, or wait a little longer to get more size on them and then flower. Would about 6-8 weeks in veg still produce a decent yield per plant? I usually veg a lot longer but trying to get a good harvest cycle going. I

hard to say when different strains do different things in flower. i grow in a tent so i have height restrictions to think about. something i do at home and at work if i dont have space or room at the time, i'll FIM the vegging plants. that allows the plant to bush out a little bit. slows growth to recover from the FIM then starts back growing while the laterals underneath have had time to grow out a little.

This varies for everyone, it all depends on strain and how much space you have.

The new batch I'm vegging right now is about 50 underdawg og, then the rest is a mix of clones I took from my mothers before I threw them into flower. Trainwreck, purple wreck, deathstar, royal highness, bluewidow, sage n sour. Then I have around 20 or so new mothers about 6 weeks old fromseed I'm gonna veg out for a few months for sure so I can keep gettin clones from because these ones I actually had to buy the seeds myself online, my first batch I threw into flower was all clones or mothers I got from friends.
The batch of new mothers I'm gonna veg out for awhile are vanilla kush, blue dream, blue venom, lsd, critical kush, and I forget the others. I'm doing a lot of different strains just so I can weed out the ones I don't like and keep the good ones. Thats how I found the vanilla kush. Its my all time favorite.
Problem is that I have all these separate batches. 2 rooms flowering right now, then a massive veg room with all of my new mothers I just started from seed, then my batches of clones I have vegging that I'm gonna throw into flower. Just tryin to figure out a good cycle, flower them at a decent size so I dont flower to early and get short yield. And now that my clones and seedling are all in pots they're taking up a lot of space. I think I have too many plants.lmao. Its a good problem to have I guess, but it is still a problem. And I don't think I could bring myself to kill any off since I spent all that time and work cloning and potting, etc. I would sell some or give away to friends but don't really want anyone to know I have a surplus of bud plants u know? Lmao

Are you flowering all those strains at once? If so the variety of bud will be nice but doing it is gonna be a pain in the ass. Your strains are all over the place. Some are gonna stretch and some aren't during flowering. Plus the fact that the finishing times of the strains is all over the place.
One reason why is the indicas get shortchanged if you have to raise the light cause the sativa dominant hybrids need more space due to their stretch. You'll have to raise the plant to get the full yield.
Don't get me wrong I think the variety is cool but flowering all at one time is not gonna be the maximum use of the space. Then again you are experimenting to see which strains perform.

Yeah. I have all of the sativa dominants in one room by theirself and the indicas in the second flower room. Then for example all of my different indica strains that are in the same room together I just put in their own row. So like all of the underdogs are in one row, trainwreck in its own row, etc. Because I ran into that problem last year so I planned for that this time. I kinda like the staggered harvest though. But I think my next harvest will mainly be all underdawgs and hopefully vanilla. Since they're about the same flower time and almost seem to perform the same for me. I just wanted to start with a wide variety, then from there weed out the ones I don't like, for example I don't like my trainwreck. Its just too leafy of a strain for me. Looks like a hardy plant and has a nice wide surface area from me scrogging but just seems leafy as hell
