Hello everyone, this will be a very simple log. I am only running one plant of this strain.
Strain - Dark Devil Auto
Quote:
Dark Devil Auto is a 100% Autoflowering strain. This is the result of the hybridization between one of our most appreciated autoflowering genetics - Big Devil XL - and an exotic autoflowering strain with purple flowers, developed with the collaboration of the R + D department of the seedbank Buddha Seeds - feminized seeds.
The purple characteristic of this strain is inherited from its ancestors from the Chitral region in the Pakistani Hindu Kush, very close to Afghanistan. The purple genetics contribute for a faster flowering period, bringing new sweet aromas and purple colours to our Big Devil XL. Dark Devil shows a strong hybrid vigour since germination.
Dark Devil Auto grow with the appearance of Indica-Sativa hybrids with a strong main stem and numerous side branches, finishing with a big main cola and multiple smaller buds on the side branches. Resin production is abundant in the flowers and in their surrounding leaves. Sweet and fruity aroma with hints of incense and delightful citrus tones.
During flowering, around 80% of the plants acquire purple or reddish tones in the buds and some of them even develop purple leaves too. After harvested and dried the buds gain a very dark purple tone, almost black. Technical Specifications
100% Autoflowering Indoor Yield: 400-600gr/m2 Outdoor Yield: 50-200gr/plant Indoor/Outdoor Harvest: 8½ weeks after germination Height: 80-130cm
Grow medium - FFOF (Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil) with a bit of added perlite.
Container - I started the seed in a very small, 4 inch pot. I will be transplanting to a 5 gallon root pouch.
Temperature - 80-105 degrees Farenheight
Humidity - 50-80%
Nutrients - FF trio (big bloom, tiger bloom, grow big), Botanicare's liquid karma, GH cal-mag, and molasses. I will also have clearex and pH down/up on retainer to use when necessary.
Water - I will be using pH'd(6.0-6.5) water with 0ppm throughout the duration of this grow.
Lights - The sun will provide 100% of the light that this plant recieves.

UPDATE Day 2 The first set of true leaves are starting to grow but it's still having trouble shaking the shell off of one of it's cotyledons.

Hey mate, looks like we're following each other's grows
Where are you keeping your baby? I learnt the hard way from putting a seedling outside in the elements too early (two of them died), so I would suggest you do one of two things depending on your weather conditions.
Either keep it in a greenhouse for a couple of weeks at the start until it gets a foot tall, or keep it outside as is but wrap around the pot in Glad Wrap/Saran Wrap about a foot in height to protect the seedling from crazy wind etc.
Good luck and keep us posted

It's been outside but I have been moving it under an overhang during storms. There's already been like 4 storms since I've put it in soil Best of luck on your grow

UPDATE Day 3 Accidentally tore a cotyledon off trying to get the seed shell off I hope it won't be too detrimental to my plant's growth.

Ah bugger, I would just leave those seed shells. They pop off by themselves usually in a week or so.
Good luck!

Yes looking back, I was being impulsive and moronic. Do you think this is going to cause my plant a significant amount of problems throughout my grow?

No idea, it's never happened to me, but I would guess if you have the next set or two of leaves already popping up it will be ok.

UPDATE Day 6 I have already messed this grow up. The plant has grown none sice my accident where I pulled of a cotyledon . I feel like since this is an auto, this plant will amount to nothing because I stressed it out so much at an early age. Kind of feeling like growing just isn't my thing.

UPDATE Day 8 Finally new growth is showing up and old growth is starting to grow again. Accidentally pulling that cotyledon off seemed to stress it enough to stunt its growth for a few days. Transplanted to the final pot(5 gal) with a 1:1:1 mix of verm, perlite and FFOF. I just cut the bottom of the pot off and put the whole pot in for the transplant.

UPDATE Day 11 Really smacking myself in the face for stressing the plant out so much by pulling off the cotyledon. Hasn't grown much and I'm starting to notice burning on the tips. Looks like straight FFOF is a little too hot for dark devil seedlings.
