I hate to admit it, but I feel the same way about Cannibal Corpse. Fuck you can only play so fast until it just becomes noise. Just pointless man. I love me some Chris Barnes Cannibal, and early Corpsegrinder, but KILL was the end for me.

I prefer Mustaine over Hetfield, but honestly I'm more of a SLAYER!!!!! and Pantera kind of guy.

Don't get me started on the blues. You want some kick ass blues from some metal gods? Listen to old black Sabbath demos. They used to jam on mainly blues and man it is some the heaviest blues shit. Hendrix did the blues well too.
Thanks dude!

Sabbath and Zepp are never not playing somewhere in my house.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

Man Sabbath made me feel like a total badass when I was learning guitar. Riffs were pretty simple, but dude they were heavy as shit. I remember learning the main riff to the song Black Sabbath and when I finally hit the right notes it sounded like a fucking demon trying to claw outta my amp.
Then I tried to do some bass shit thinking it would be just as easy, hell no. Geezer Butler pwns the bass. Claypool would be a 2nd fav.
I can't remember the name of the song, but it had an awesome reggae style going throughout the song. It was a led zeppelin tune. I wanna say All of my love, but I think I am wrong. Whatever song it is, that was what got me searching out more reggae.lol.

Man, I always wondered... are the melvins really considered stoner rock? I fucking love the melvins, but the music never really gave me a stoner rock vibe. I was thinking bands like Clutch were stoner rock.
The only stoner rock band I have listened to is Seventh Void. Of course something from Type O , but that's really the only band. For some reason I never really researched much into it.
