 12 day simpson marathon

So apparently fxx is having a 12 day simpson marathon begining on August 21st.

The simpsons was my absolute favorite as a kid but it just got kind of worn out 8-9 years ago.
Still love the classic episodes.

I love The Simpsons. I used to watch it religiously as a kid. As i got older though, i'd seen every episode so often that it got boring. Then Family Guy came out and gained popularity. Afterwards The Simpsons begun making new episodes, and i think the humor changed, things would happen that seemed like they belonged in Family Guy instead. I don't like the new episodes very much. I still love the classics though.

My personal favorite is the one where Homer remembers his repressed memory of finding a corpse in the quarry as a kid. Every minute of that episode is gold.
I've been watching the newer ones lately, mainly because they're on 30 minutes before I go to work. I try to stop everything I'm doing 30 minutes early so I remember to fucking leave on time, and the Simpsons ends right when I need to be leaving so it works out. They're not great, but theres a few chuckles in there. They've tried too hard to become South Park with their pop culture references.
They should have retired the Simpsons and left Futurama going. The Simpsons has had its run...Futurama had literally the entire fucking universe at their disposal, nothing was too absurd for Futurama...and they keep the Simpsons instead

I never really thought about that.. its pretty crazy that The Simpsons STILL have new episodes. The new episodes even tie in to all the updates they do on The Simpsons: Tapped out.
I agree they should of let simpsons have its glory and just continue making Futurama instead
