Great looking new HID grow lights

Edit* This was originally some shopper hype for genesis bulbs, but the picture got taken down and I don't trust high times sponsors anymore so now this is mostly just spectrum comparisons(see post below). Check out this interesting new "Dual Spectrum HPS" that appears to have a single filament but is double coated or something.
I don't know how accurate any of these are, but check out this comparison of a possible actual hortilux 1000w spectrum Vs. what they print on the box.

There's a super cheap digital brand called Interlux that looks really good for the price. According to a product specialist at Interlux, their Super HPS bulbs are reverse engineered horilux bulbs designed for use with digital ballast. I got this info from a forum post elsewhere.
Wish I knew what their MH bulbs details are since I might get one as a backup.
Also beware when buying bulbs on ebay/amazon. I just bought a digilux HPS and it was supposed to be new but is obviously used or refurbished, or just a used digilux shell with a replaced filament(or whatever its called). It's possible Digilux just sucks too.

Yea I hope it's not bs that they are basicly hortilux for digital ballast. I contacted the company asking about that and the MH spectrum, but no reply yet. Interlux seems like it is better quality generic. I've seen more than one person say that Eiko makes good cheap bulbs, but I've seen nothing suggesting they are tuned for horticulture.
I'm trying to find a good, preferably cheaper MH if anyone knows a good MH with proven results. I gather that for digital ballast SunPulse bulbs have the most research put into them.
Here are some other bulbs spectrums that people may want to see. Not all digital or magnetic. I don't really trust all of these and I know hortilux and others alter their light sprectrum output graphs. I'm a believer that 6500k is the best veg spectrum because it's closest to the sun, I'm pretty sure.
Just learned these graphs are called Spectrophotocolorimeters. long word.
Growlite Tru Blue and Real Red
Baddass blue diamond MH, Baddass HPS 1000w and 600w
Sinowell(also generic green box)Maybe true maybe not.
UltraSun HPS 1000w
Plantmax MH and HPS(multiple MH color temps availablem not sure which this is) Last is 7k Pulse start the one I want
Solis-Tek 6k MH and HPS. They have 4k 6k and 10k MH. Gaps are filled in.
Lumatek
Hortilux(changes with wattage like all would) MH, HPS, Dual Arc(MH+HPS), MH Blue(600 is different)
Agrosun easily has the highest peaks, but i suspect BS!
Sunmaster
*Interesting 400v Dual Spectrum HPS from Sunmaster.
Solarmax
Digilux and their BS spectrum which is just a very zoomed in normal spectrum. eDIT* Found a longer spectrum view on their site... now I don't know what to think. I still think it's BS.
Genesis HPS and MH
Btw anyone seen this? just saw one for the first time. Twin arc MH
This is also interesting. Reflector is in the bulb... I think it's for outdoor.

I stopped using MH during veg for plants that are just going through the normal cycle. I only use MH in my mother room.

So straight HPS during the whole grow? Do you veg for long if at all though? for indica at least. I had to veg for over a month because of the cold for my recent first grow. Notice any benefits with straight hps?
I've heard of people complain that straight MH grows come out too fluffy or airy, but I don't know anything about straight HPS. It'd sure be a lot more lumens, but it seems like some HPS lack a lot in the blue department.
Btw there is a noticeable difference between HPS it seems, and also to reinforce my don't buy digilux opinion for anyone considering digilux. Here's a video compares digilux to sunmaster. 2:25 and 3:10 for comparison Although he could have fed the plants differently or other factors.

I veg for about a month. It's not so much as a noticeable benefit, as when I switched to only HPS for my grows, I didn't see any real difference in end quality or quantity. Sure under MH they grow a little bushier, but then they stretch anyways, so I said fuck it. And haven't looked back.
