My JVC kd-avx1 will show it is playing a cd but no sound can be heard? Anyone have any ideas as to why? Just recently installed it to my truck.

Yeah I am 99.9 percent the wires are all matched up right.
Well its not new, I salvaged it from my car I totaled. It came with it.
I didn't buy a new wire harness. Instead I used the one that was already there from the cd player I am replacing. All the colors were there. And there were two wires I didn't use because it was irrelevant in my situation.
Is it possible the crash may have damaged it? I was using it at the time if that helps.

It could definitely have been damaged in the car wreck. You could take it into a stereo shop and they would probably check it out for you

i had one half die after an accident. they arent made for the impact.
but ya, have a store or someone check it out, although they might try to just sell you something instead of actually help you.

Does it also have a radio tuner or other input? Do those work?
If so, odds are the laser was fucked in the crash. I got me one of these -

and it was worth every cent.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?
