So as my mom and grandma were coming home on the freeway yesterday some guy was swerving and clipped them in the back. As she was trying to avoid hitting a concrete divider the guy clipped her again and the flipped twice landing upside down eventually. Luckily two LA off duty paramedics saw this on the opposite side of the freeway and assisted to help.
Apparently the person was having a medical emergency as my mom heard one of the first
responders saying "we need to get this guy to a hospital asap, he is going into cardiac arrest". Luckily they weren't seriously injured, but my mom as 3 broken ribs and a cut spleen. They are going to watch the spleen for a few days to see if it starts to heal or not. If not they will have to surgically remove it.
Sucks her new car is totaled now but thats what insurance is for.

Well she just got out of surgery and is recovering fine.

yeah, that could have been a lot worse. they are extremely lucky. last year my 12 year old nephew was in a head on collision. he was in a coma for 3 weeks and then was wheelchair bound for a couple months and then crutches. its a year later and he still has trouble walking.
one thing is for sure, your mom and grandma are getting a fat check from the guys insurance company. im talking thousands.

Cost my pops 6 bills to take it out.
And I guess the guy clipped them from the right not from behind and they flipped forward not sideways.
Edit:
Oh and just an FYI if you plan on buying a suv with third row seating, I would advise against it. If someone was seating back there they would have been seriously hurt as one of the second row seats went backwards.
