Mines about 5 years old, still no issues 
Bout time for a new one though, I mean I'll get a new TV every few years so as long as it can last that long I'm happy

Better for vidya games as well IMO mine is still going strong, and I have zero issues with screen burn
I hate plasmas, IME the picture is not nearly as crisp looking as an LED.

Yeah I kind of get what you mean about it being not as "crisp" looking. But idk if it's because its an LED or if it's because it's so big, but the 72inch LED we have in the living room just looks too crisp. and has this, everything was shot on a home video camera kind of look. Maybe it's just the TV but everone I know agrees with me and the picture gets annoying TBH
Plus that motion blur annoys the fuck outta me, you just can't beat 600hz

I've never experienced a picture that was too crisp...
I never notice any motion blur either, but I don't play video games or anything like that.

Ok so after a little research I found out they call this the "soap opera effect" because soap opera are usually shot with cheaper cameras but the film has a faster refresh rate or some shit like that causing the effect. You can change the settings on the TV to get rid of it though. Heres and article I found http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/699663

I have that same T.V> as you. But last month went through the same feelings of wanting a new TV. So what I ended up doing was buying a projector for my living room, this one
Not the greatest but works pretty damn good. used in combination with my sounds system and black out curtains it works even better.
then i just moved that tv to my office/exercise room.
