 Finally decided to move away from CFL's

Ordered this, is it decent enough for a small timer? I paid $12 less for it somewhere else but can't link to it. I went with it because it had good reviews, it was cheap, and I only have room for 3-4 girls at a time.
How much of a difference will it make compared to this setup?
My plants grew well under these CFL's, but the buds are pretty "fluffy"
Any thoughts are appreciated!

I know, but do you think will it make a big difference or be barely noticeable? Its only the 400W one. I have almost 300W of cfl's lighting them now.

ohhh ya... you might want a air cooled unit tho. and id get the 600 (it will be worth it come harvest time)...
id also still use the cfl's also (but closer to the plants)

CFL's are complete garbage. Remember that 300 watts of cfl are equal to about 75 watts of HPS or MH. So you're gonna see a world of difference cause even though there is 100watts of difference between what your using now there will be 7 times the light.
Put it this way this is dixie cups and a 400 watt
This couldn't be done with 600 watts of cfl.
I've said if before and I'll say it again CFL lights are junk.

Thanks. I thought about the 600, but I already went with the 400...with it being so close to Xmas I could barely afford that but after my first harvest and feeling how fluffy my buds were I had to do something.

For best results buy one of these
and use only blue and red pegs tho

Use MH or HPS. You can get them in ranges from 75watts to 1500watts.
You have to remember that cfl lights are hotter then MH or HPS. People keep making the mistake of comparing like wattages. The change their 400watt MH or HPS to 400watts of cfl the problem is that the 400watt of HPS or MH put out 7 times the light of the 400watts of cfl so in order to get the same amount of light you have 400watts of MH or HPS and 2800watts of cfl's. Guess which one is hotter. It's a mistake that is made here every day and every day I want to bang my head on the computer keyboard.
