Yeah but where did you hear to use a mh for flower? All my hortilux literature says those are recomended only for veg.
Theres a graph on the hortilux site that shows how good they are and for flowering it says theyre not the best.
I have never heard anyone or read anything that says to flower under mh...obviously itll still work, but yeah its not gonna be as good as hps.

Heres the graph...aint no one touting the blues as a flowering bulb
I know we all know what a MH and a HPS look like so I only put the pic of the dual arc so everyone can see exactly what they mean by 2 bulbs in one.
The dual is supposed to be in the middle of the mh and hps but as you can see...its not as good as just using mh to start and hps to finish. Using 2 different bulbs should always be the best.

When they first came out, that's what all the stores were claiming.
And you wouldn't believe how many people try to say that MH is great for flowering. It gets claimed all the time, produces a more resiny bud, they claim.

I've been flowing with the Sunmaster warm deluxe 1000w MH for a like 3 runs and the results are nice. Minimal stretch and the light intensity cant be beat. With careful monitoring and height adjustments I will keep the bulb as close as possible. I tend to finish up to a week early this way.
I feel like the bud quality may be better too, though my yield may be suffering a bit.

MH does NOT give a better quality product. There's a reason we use HPS dude.

Yeah the only time ive read about mh giving better flowers was when it was used with an HPS. Like 1 MH for every 2 to 3 HPS.
Other than that HPS all the way for flowering. The graph says it all.
