Hey guys can anyone here tell me what the state of the art in leds is and if you can use one to replace a standard 400w hps setup? Its very hard to find definite answers how well leds actually do.

there are a few out there, how big is your grow area? to just say a 400w replacement is impossible.

i *think* it's possible to replace 400W of HPS with less than 400W of LED with similar or better results, HOWEVER, it will certainly cost much more to buy the equivalent in LED lighting. This will (almost) inevitably change, but it still ain't worth it yet. If money isn't an issue, try it, then tell us!

your looking at 3-400w of led, $600-1000. I'm a fan of Advanced LED, but the GlowBlu look promising. There are a lot of companies out there and if your serious you should do some research before you buy.
