6k watt basement grow

sup growerites. I was gonna wait to start this log when i flipped the lights...but I've been too damn anxious to start one up!
I've got 6k i can run, but only 4k w/ reflectors. I may pick up 2 more reflectors if it turns out the plants need more space. I'm hoping i can get away with just runnin 4k this run and maybe droppin 1 or 2k vertically over the canopy. The plants are growing so fast...it will be interesting to see what they'll end up needing.
I recently upgraded my ac unit. Runnin a 24,000 btu ductless mini-split. Man i love this thing!
To replenish the co2 in my flower room I ran some 6" ducting out one of the headers in my basement and hooked up a 6" dust shroom to it. an inline fan constantly blows in fresh air during the current 18hr light cycle.
I'm venting hot air out the old coal shoot of my basement. I still have to hook up the second inline. I'm currently running 3k of mh for veg and only venting 2 reflectors. Once i fire up the 4th lamp I'll mount the 2nd inline fan.
I've got multiple strains going this grow. I started fresh with some cuts from another grower.
genetics: Alien Dawg, The Flav, Jack the Ripper, Chernobyl, Zues,Drizilla, Killing Fields x Ms. Universe and Super Cannalope Haze
I've got about 50 plants vegging right now....but i can only flower out 30. I still have one more transplant to do in a few days. I'll veg for 3 weeks after the transplant and then flip the lights. These plants are much smaller than what i normally put into flower. But i need to get this show on the road! Hoping to flip the lights by third week in august. Heres a shot of the group...
and sorry for the big pics. I had to upload the pics onto another site to get them here. For some reason my cell won't let me upload photos to the growery.

thanks for droppin by 420milehigh.
Headed down to the basement to transplant all the little ones into 5 gallon buckets. I've got 6 plants already in 5gals that are ready to go into 20 gal smart pots. Man this is going to suck. I hate transplanting!
I'll post up a pick when i finish up.

Finally finished with transplanting and tying all the plants back down. It took me a lot longer than i anticipated....but it's done and its nice to see the garden full again.
Runnin 4k now. The 20 gallon pots i filled took up more space than I expected. Still gotta mount my 8" inline to vent the other 2 reflectors. 3 weeks from today I'll be flippin the lights!

Thanks man. It took me quite a long time to tie down all the plants in 5gals. It's a bit of a pita, but it sure pays off i the end.

Well that's the plan at least! We'll see.
I finally got my ass in gear and finished tying down the 6 plants in 20 gallon square pots. I increased my last feeding to 1400 ppms. I could see that some plants were slightly over fed. no nute burn though. Gonna drop it down to 1200 ppm for the next feeding.
The plants in 5 gals filled out quite nicely. Looks like I'll be runnin 6k this grow. There's no way i'll have room after the stretch when i flip the lights.
humidity is becoming a big issue. Not for my plants but for my basement. Mold has begun to form on the floor joists. I used my pump sprayer with a heavy bleach solution and took care of it, but it will most definitely return unless i get a bigger dehuey. Been runnin 2 70 pint deheuys lately and at that rh is still staying at 52-55 percent.
Soooo on the to do list for this up coming week......
- pick up 2 more magnum xxxl reflectors - buy 2 more 18" wall mount oscilating fans - order one of these 3 dehueys sante fe max dual dry xt , phoenix 200 max lgr or maybe even a sante fe classic
I'm leaning towards the sante fe classic. It's a few hundred cheaper and is rated for 2500 sq ft. although the other 2 dehueys are rated @ 3600 sq ft.
Since I'm only using half of my flower room at the moment...I'm finding it very dificult to gauge what i will truely need when my room is completely full.
Anyone have experience with industrial dehueys????

Thanks man! Stay tuned.
Snapped a few pics to update the girls growth in the past week. I have to tie them down one more time before the flip....well hopefully only once more.
Headed down to the hydro store today to grab the reflectors and a 2 more hps bulbs! Next update I'll be runnin 6k.

Welcome to the growery Bonsaibean!
I most definitely will keep the updates coming.
I picked up 2 more reflectors and 2 more 16" wall mount fans yesterday. I've also decided on a dehuey. Phoenix 200 Max is my final decision! Ordering it today. Hopefully it comes by the beginning of next week or better yet the end of this week. It'd be great to have everything in place before the flip.
I've got a lot of work to do this week!

No build up on it as of yet. It's only been running for maybe a month and a half though. I would definitely recommend this product

Just finished tying down the garden. It took FOREVER!! I picked up 2 more reflectors the other day and fired up my other 2 ballasts. After tying every plant down I BARLEY have enough room....even under 6k watts. Hopefully I'll still have enough room when i pull the plants that i can't flower out.
The plants have really exploded with growth the past few days. I couldn't resist throwin up a few pics.

It's definetly a hobby that can consume you. Especially on a larger scale. For me my garden is borderline.... It can be a pita to maintain at times.....but it's only in spurts.

I live in Maine actually. I'm a caregiver and patient. As a patient i can flower out 6 plants and I can have 5 patients as a caregiver and flower out 6 plants per patient. Right now i only have 4 patients though.
For veg I'm tryin out AN's Jungle Juice as a base nute. Along with their voodoo juice and B-52.
Gonna use all of an's flowering additves when i flip.
I really need to try out a different line. I've just had such good results with AN I haven't wanted to. Botanicare will be the next nute line i run i think....or maybe humbolt.
Medium is plain ole sunshine #4. Nothing added.

yes it is a soil less medium. The only thing in the soil nutrients wise is mycorrhizae....which only helps with root health and is good for clones once you transplant. After that you need to start feeding.
It also has %40 perlite. With the extra perlite i can get in more waterings/feedings than with a medium such as promix.

I use ffof with my outdoor grows. I like not having to mess with feeding my plants for 3-4 weeks. Mixing and adjusting the ph of my nutes is a huge pita outdoors.
Speaking of outdoor....I can't wait to start doing some large outdoor grows! I know a grower several hours north of me that grows freaking trees. We're talkin 40-50 plants @ 3-5 pounds pulled per plant. Yields like that are easy out in cali, but are hard as hell to pull off with the short grow season out my way.
I gotta get my ass in gear and start shoppin for some land asap!

First day of flower today! I thinned the garden down to 30 plants. It'll be interesting to see how the stretch goes, I've got barely enough room now as it is.
Fed some bloom nutes tonite.
-200 ml of grow,micro,bloom
-200ml of voodoo juice,Piranha,Bud Candy,Tarantula,sensizyme,Bud Ignitor,Rhino Skin and Bud Factor X
ppms were a tad higher than where i wanted them for the first week, but oh well.
