hey all this is my second attempt at growing this is Casey she was a gift from my friend. she is my lemon haze pant given to me by my buddy, that i have put straight into flowering these pics were after i took some clones. But not before i took this cutting [url=https://files.growery.org/files/g13-24/140836405-DSC00577.jpg]this is 3 days old and my first one. I used a razor made a 45 degree cut then cut the stem like a pizza frayed it so it looked like a chewed up chop stick lathered it in honey then into freshly watered soil then i put one of my bag over it that i had left over from my mushroom projects. It looked good on day 3 i figured what the hell and made a big cutting .. this is my very indica kush plant and last but not least some bag seed plant that i collected from some natural bud in the woods. looks to be mostly indica.. anyways cheers!

I gotta ask why you are dipping them in honey? It's best to apply some form of rooting hormone.

Honey is the cheap mans root hormone. It works but any store bought hormone is a lil better.

There is a video somewhere on YouTube I believe, a guy does a whole side by side comparison with top brands of rooting hormone along side the honey. It did well, it didn't outperform any brands but certainly worked if you had no choice

It doesnt work as well as hormone but every hormone says not for use on food crops.
A friend of mine cooks with his plants a lot so he considers em a food crop so he wont use anything not for food.
Hes all about it and it seems to work well for him but i havent done it myself.

i use honey because i see no reason to use rooting compound nature provides everything you need in it . it is a natural antiseptic ...its got the sAme consistency as the other gets which keeps the plant from drying out and its packed full of simple sugars for the clone to root. i would like to also add that the money i save is alot because its almost free and you get tons.

I personally use rootech or clonex or the ez clone brand...
Some people are way too hyped up on organics though.
It may not work as well but organics cool so i let em do their thing

you always feed the same way. what changes is what you mix into the water before you give it to the plant.
For veg you should have been giving it something with high Nitrogen...low phosphorous.
Now that you are starting to flower, lower the Nitrogen and increase the Phosphorous...this will help the plant realize that it is time to stop putting on stocky veg growth and begin forming flowers.
You should check out a feeding chart. Even if its a brand of nutes you are not using, theyre good to look at every now and then just to see what products are used during which phase of growing.
Fox Farm feeding charts General Hydro feeding schedules

That's amazing with the honey. I have never heard of that before this thread. I am gonna watch this thread and after I get a few successful clone grows under my belt I will try the honey technique for shits and giggles. Still stick with the rooting hormone, but still, thanks for sharing that man!
