I use to but started using AN ph up and down. Now it may cost a little more, a buck or so but a few drops of it is like a 1/4 cup of the General Hydro stuff. I got a gallon if each for each garden that uses 150 gallon reservoirs and that was in 2008 and I'm still using the same gallon jugs.

I switched it up to the AN ph Down from GH and it does make a huge difference. I'm using only about 1ml per gallon, vs 5-10 times that with the gen hydro.

So I found some GH pH down and did my own test. That video is flawed because it hits the rock bottom pH that the solution forms with water with the first test. He should have tested to see the minimal amount it took to achieve specific pH's along the way down, or graphed the pH vs mL.
I used one gallon of tap water at pH 7.3; Intervals of 0.5mL of pH down .
Gen Hydro: 7.1, 6.6, 6.5, 6.4
Advanced: 6.3, 4.0, 3.2, 3.1
I stopped testing when the AN got to 3.1. The trend is fairly obvious.
