 cloning question

hey guys I put my plants into flowering 2 days ago and one of the plants I want to take a like 2 cutting to clone because I only had 1 seed of that strain. but my question is I think there might have been a chance of my plants having powdery mildew. I sprayed them the other day with a anti mild (organic spray) that I got from my grow store.. now if I take cutting and put them in my veg room with some seeds that im going to plant to night .. is there any thing I can do to the clones to make sure that they dotn have powdery mildew?
I read that neem oil can be used on plants to kill powder mildew.. is that true? should I coat the clones in that? but also if that will work will that screw up the cloning?? cause im going to use clone x and was going to 2 clones in a milk jug with the bottom cut off and in veg room.

If your going to put them in the room with the new plants before you know for sure if you got rid of the pm then the only way to be for sure they don't get pm is to put either the new plants or the plant with the pm in some kind of containment.
Can't tell ya about the neem oil I hate the stuff and don't use it for anything.

If you keep the humidity down you can kind of slow/stop the spread of PM. Emphasis on kind of. Its best to avoid getting it all together. I switched to plants that don't have as thick of a canopy and keep the fans oscillating and haven't had any PM issues since.
I do have the occasional minor bug issue(thripes), I've been using a product called "fungicide 3" concentrate which is basically 70% neem oil. $14-22 for the bottle at walmart and many other places. It works on the mold and bugs fairly well. Spray your flowering plants only in the first few weeks before buds form and hope they don't get infested again. I don't spray in flower unless there is an actual issue, I try and contain it in veg.
If your concerned, spray it then wash it off with water in a day or so before cloning. Sometimes just running a damp clean sponge over the area is enough to pick off the PM, provided you don't recreate its breeding environment afterward.

ok well one other question how should I got about cloning with rockwool cubes??? someone told me that there not good to use because they have a very high ph is that true??? I just picked up a 12pack and clonex. is there anything special I need to do for cloning with rockwool cubes?

Nah, I use to use Liquid Karma for lots of shit but they changed the formula and I removed it from my grows altogether.

You know I used clonex once and they died.Dont know? Tring knew shit and i got this cheap stuff at walmart works good 95% roots.

I literally just bought a new container of root tech and in the process I was talking to the store employee about clonex. It's great stuff but they don't use anymore and feel there are others worth trying

That root tek is cheap and works ok for me. Im thinking they all might have the same rooting hormone.??? What ever works !!

I myself find rootech the best. Yeah they all have the same hormone but most have it at 3.5 or something like that percent including clonex. Rootech has it as 5.5% Plus it's way thicker then the other gels.
