 little brownish/rust spots?

hey guys I was checking out the girls and noticed some spots on the leaves.. there darkish or kinda of a rusty color almost only see a couple between the leaves .. but also noticed that the new leaves are a lighter green v.s the older leaves.. could this be a cal/mag prob?
i started my seeds on the 18th of last month in paper towels and then put them in the soil about 3 days later. so the plants have not even been in the fox farm soil for 2 weeks yet but can they already be having lack of nutrient deficiency?

Pics man. And it's always possible, but unlikely.
Why does everyone jump to it being a cal/mag problem.

well I jump to that cause I took look back at the growers bible book and looked up under the nutrient section and it said that little dark/rusty spots and light green color and yellowing of leafs.. but I also know that it could be other reasons so figured I would ask first.. hell it could be a ph problem for all I know lol. but I will get some pics for u in the next couple hours.

oh and I been trying to keep the ph of the water that I feed to the plants around 6.4
|

I have a question: Why are the pots only partially filled?
could this be the FF "hot for seedlings" issue?

This is just typical seedling issues IMO. I've seen a lot of funkiness in the beginning of em. Just let it go. And the pots not being completely full seems very irrelevant.

k the pots are about 3/4 full of soil. I was figuring about transplanting them in about a week? do u think that's to early?
oh and just wondering is 6.4 ok for my water ph that im feeding the plants with? or do I need to go higher or lower?

well I just checked out the girls and it seems that the spots are getting worse.. getting more of them. and ive noticed that the leafs are curling down a little

my roommate said that it looked like that it was a ph/salt build up problem in the soil and to flush them. so I gave them a good flush. now does that look like that is the cause? or something eles? I just used plan tap water did not add any liquid karma or root enhancer.

My advise is to everyone with soil: stop adjusting your pH when your plants are young, and probably all in flower. Get into that later, just not when your learning. Your soil should be fine for young plants; if not, change your soil.

my input on those spots: they shouldn't be there, but wait it out a few days giving it tap water and see what happens. Soil should have enough nutrition to start seedlings without needing anything but plain water, everything else is overkill and you risk messing up your plants in some way. Get into amendments eventually, but start with with the basics at first.
I don't know the exact problem just by looking at it, but I would try another soil mix for your seeds if it continues to be an issue. Judging by the last photo you posted,

The main stem is nice and beefy, green and healthy looking. This is usually not the case with deficiencies.
if you have a better camera or one with a flash that would be great. Get a white sheet of paper and manually configure the white balance while pointing the camera at the paper under that light and it will come out in more natural white colors. phone camera's rarely have that option.

DUDE stop watering them.. at this stage you should be watering them at basically 1/4 the required strength, if not only tap water.. tap water has 100-200ppm.. so that's basically all the seedlings need... you should also be watering them with nutes then without nutes the next time.. rinse repeat.. if you aren't using nutrients then try NOT watering for a while until the top of the soil is dry..
ALSO you need to seriusly take that out of the pot.... then fill it the rest of the way okay? keep it in the same pot.. but fill it all the way AFTER removing the whole dirt clump with seedling.. then fill her up all the way with the base of that plant only an inch under the rim..

well for the pot im going to be transplanting to a bigger pot.
as for the nutreints I was adding like 1ml of liquid karma out of 15ml it recommends to 1 gallon so I was giving it like nothing. I was not giving it any grow nutrient feeds or anything like that.

ok went to check on the girls today and now see the edges are turning yellow

I'd say either transplant it, or flush it out. Not sure what's going on.
