say i had one, or two plants in the garden outside.
Would my neighbors be able to smell it?
i was thinking maybe i could build a small green house-like structure.

If two plants stink in a forest and no one is around to smell it, does it make a smell?"

Decide to grow a rather large patch of tomatoes and grow a few plants in there. Doing the lollipop method on both plants helps cover it up alot. Plant lots of basil and marigolds and cooking herbs cuz their all fragrant, and tomatoes are too. I have hidden 3 foot plants in tomatoe patches plenty of times. But, how close are your neighbours? It does smell, I mean no one can come to your house and especially to the garden.

Honestly, odor would be the last thing I'd be concerned about. The greatest threat is visual. If ANYONE ever comes on your property, such as utility service people or the like, you could be screwed.
Hell, we get power company tree trimmers trouncing through the yard, various service people for home repairs, et. al. and on .... It would make me nervous as hell to try such a thing.
I realize there are place this can be done without too much risk but it isn't in suburbia!
