Check out a pawnshop, you can often buy hammers and other random hand tools for a $1 a piece or less. If they don't have enough at one shop buy what you can and then go to another one until you have all the hammers you need.

All the pawn shops around here are fucking snobby. Even the ghetto ones just want chains and gold. I have trouble even finding video games :c

i would hit up craigslist, pawn shops, 2nd hand stores, garage sales...
your most likely gonna have to put a lot of work to find that many that cheap.
you'll most likely find 2-5 at a time and have to hit up a lot if places.
make a day of it.
