This type of Yellow Leaves? (PICTURES)
    #654385 - 01/08/13 08:35 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

So I got these yellow leaves on the bottom of this small plants, they wont go into larger containers cause I want to keep the size small. Is this overwatering? overnuting? or defficiency?

I've got some epsom salts on the way...

Yup, yellowing from the bottom up means she needs N.

Watering issues don't start from the bottom up, and the first symptom is not yellowing.
Turgor pressure looks fine, so this is not a watering issue.

Ya, what is that stuff on top? Maybe that is leaking toxins into the soil?

Just looks like random organic debris.

What he's dealing with is nutrient deficiency, due to lack of nutrients in the soil.  Has nothing to do with what you're seeing on top.

Ya, but I think the actual soil is coming from the backyard also.. It looks like I see dirt clods in there.. Obvious nutrient deficiency. I swear if he just used ocean forest it would all solve itself.

Also putting all that garbage on top from outdoors can ONLY be good for one thing. Disease! There is just no reason for that to be done indoors!

I wish I could just buy the brands mentioned but I live in Guatemala so I just buy some "composted" soil they sale at the nursery. Lacks nutrients as we can see, so maybe next season I'll compost some soil a few months prior and see what happens. I tried adding a bit of compost tea but it kind of stunted the growth on one... :frown: the stuff on top is grass mulch btw. I like to mulch but I havent decided wether its a good idea with cannabis.

Just look up the contents of FFOF and make it yourself. You will save tons and FFOF isn't nearly what it use to be. The stuff is great but back in the day they use to mix it by hand and got their ingredients from better sources. I use to live near the place they made it up in Nor Cal and they would sell you a pickup bed full for 60 bucks if you went there to get it. Then they started to import a lot of the ingredents and one of they guys there told me that the guano being used had a lot of dirt in it. That is when my FFOF days came to a end.

Back to the point. Just make your own soil since you're hardly using any anyway.

By the way I know a little about growing in small containers
