Light ballasts questions

Ok I was wondering what is good brand to go with ? cause I don't want to buy on that will crap out on me in 4-8 months cause it was a cheap crapy Chinese made brand.

Also For ballasts ive read that there are ones that can use both HPS and mh bulbs .. Are these good to go with? the reason I ask cause I read in the marijuana horticulture book that they are not good cause they will cause the bulbs to burn out faster and switch the bulbs put a lot of strain on the lighting system or something along those lines... Is that true? or are the systems that I can buy now adays just fine to switch the bulbs ?

Switchable ballasts are just fine, I've ran them for years. The digital ballasts switch automatically. The magnetic ones have a little button/switch.

You need to replace the bulbs after every 2-3 grows anyways, but I'm pretty sure they don't put stress on them to begin with.

I would go with Sunlight Suplly company. They have always done me well.
