Agree. I usually have my hydro plants well above 1000 ppm at this stage. Personally, I also let the pH drift up so it gets a full range of nutrients. I start at 5 and let it coast up for a couple days before readjusting it. Adding extra calcium seems to make a huge difference too for rapid tissue growth and preventing deficiencies. I am not familiar with the nutrients he is using though.

PPM levels will also cary from nutrient to nutrient in all honesty. With Botanicaire They run quite a bit lower than others.
