I gave in to all the technology and finally got a smartphone. I am loving it so far. Got a motorolla xprt. Got it free with a 2 year contract thru sprint. Unlimited everything including data for 80 a month

Damn thats a nice deal, we get raped for cellular here in Canada. I pay around that a month for 1 gb data and a limited amount of long distance.
I hear that tho, I was so against them till I finally broke down and got an iphone a few months ago, thing blew my mind and I would not be without now.

thats 30 bucks less than i pay... but i hear bad things about sprints service. maybe thats just where i live.

their phones blow.
smartphones are cool though.
its outdated prolly but the nexus s was sick. as is the galaxy nexus.
id keep it to htc/samsung when getting smartphones. the others are just kinda meh

I have a motorola droid x 2 and I think it's great.
It's stuck at android version 2.3.5, but the OS works well and is pretty stable.
It's pretty fast, too, but it does "skip" sometimes.
It'll happen when playing music and when using certain applications.
I guess the new samsung phone (the s III) and the htc x one are hot stuff right now.
I'm personally not going to get a new phone until my upgrade date.
Some of the retail prices on these phones are ridiculous... I've seen them for as high as $650.
You could build a decent computer with that kind of money.

yeah my galaxy nexus was real spensive. but thats because its the international, non carrier specific quad band version.
which i love cuz i can throw any sim card in there and it works. also, it's stock vanilla, which i love. i cant stand sense, touchqiz, motoblur etc etc. that shit makes the entire experience lame imo.
plus its all pretty lookin n shit.

I never planned to get a droid phone but it cost me nothing, so I went ahead and did it
The regular unlimited plan was 69.99$ so I am just paying an extra 10$ a month for unlimited data
So far i love it. Ive never had anything but a basic phone before. I believe I have doid 2.2 or something. It works for me
Ive even been able to watch some porn on it

I have an HTC. I pay $25 a month for unlimited messaging, unlimited data and 200 talk minutes.
Kinda shitty service but you get what you pay for. It does the job.

I never had a smartphone before. Nothing even with a broswer that I could use.
Now I got a snazzy phone with a nice sized touchscreen and can do pretty much anything that I would do from my laptop

I have an LG optima through Virgin Mobile and pay $25 a month for unlimited everything, including data. It's prepay so there's no contract and they use the same towers as Sprint so you get the same service. I don't know why more people don't already go this route but I've turned a lot of people onto it. It's stupid cheap and the 3g works great just about everywhere.

Nah, Mel's still alive and still kickin' it down there. I just got back to the states about two weeks ago. He and a mutual friend and I was just livin life on the beach and playing music for money around town. Got a little group together with him on djembe, me on ukulele, our friend on guitar along with this 60 year old blues harmonica player. Played a lot of restaurants, a couple bars, a strip club, got a spot in a big local music festival. Made some money. Got a fuckton of free booze. Sucks to be back.
