little update. my blue widow decided to herm out on me. i spent a few days plucking nanners and contemplated continuing doing so since I'm in week 8 of flower, but i got tired of looking her over every night tricomes were milky so i said fuck it!
here's some PiCtArS of my first of 8 plants to harvest
this plant has suuuuuch a heavy citrus scent. one of my favs of the group by far. kinda bummed she hermied so hard. i would have loved to flower this strain again.
its been a week since i hung this plant. final weigh in = 156.4 grams

chopped my OG kush last night. i'm guessin i'll be pullin at least 6 oz off her... it yielded a a little bit more than my BW. i at least had to use two racks to dry it on instead of the one for my bw
tried to upload pics, but as soon as i load them and click on the photos it says "image deleted by poster"
i'll try uploading later on! so far i am very pleased with my girls

nypd....by far my favorite. chopped the largest colas last night. letting the rest of her turn completely amber.

I don't like em. Leaves a flat spot on the bud. I prefer to just hang a high weight fishing line and hang it from that. I can fit more per square foot that way as well.

i like them. I rotate the buds twice daily...which prevents them from flattening out on one side. They do flatten out more than if they were hanging from string. (which is what i used to do) I feel the difference is negligable. Once the buds hit the jar they fluff back up and look the same way they always do. (to me at least)
IMO they are worth it, but I have the extra space to hang'em up.
i purchased the largest size at my local hydro store. The trays are slightly wider than your average household door frame.
If you have the space to hang them I would def recommend them.

do you mind explaining how you go about curing your bud? ive only had 1 grow, so i dont have much experience. just trying to gather ideas on how i should do it next time.
i see people hang them, use the trays you're using, some people put their bud in card board boxes, or paper bags. so many different ways.
green house seed company recommends slow drying for 2-3 weeks and then putting in paper bags around 50 degrees F for 3-4 months for the best tasting bud. the slower the chlorophyll decomposes, the better tasting the bud will be, from what arjan says in their grow videos.

What you're describing is the drying process. Not the curing.
Curing is putting them into jars or turkey bags to sit and age after the initial drying process.
I use turkey bags because 6-12 pounds in jars is a pain in the ass.

Buy em at your grocery store. They're turkey oven bags. Perfect for curing.
