I just watered my plants today, and as soon as i started to water them, hundreds of little red bugs came to the surface of the soil and started running around!! i wish i could take a picture!
they look kind of like really really small fire ants but thats not what they are. They dont appear to be a spider mite and they havent effected my plants from what ive seen, but now im worried. I already have a whitefly problem and neem oil has not seemed to be helping any.
Any help identifying or solving my problem would be AMAZING.
Uhhh.....never heard of little red bugs before. I'll look through some books of mine, but I can't promise that I can help with this one. Maybe Magash knows something about this.
-------------------- Dude she isn't as young as she use to be.
being disturbed by water is a common characteristic of springtails. But they tend to bounce about while they're on the surface, though certain species are small enough that you wouldn't likely notice them jumping
Nope, they arent spring tails that i was looking at today. These things looks almost exactly like small fireants but they had a wierd shape. I dont know, like i said i havent seen any negative effects yet from the white flys or the little red bugs so ill keep a close eye and get a better description next time
-------------------- Why is herb such a crime, when all it does is free the mind??
