Yeah it's a wonderful thing . It is a sign that the plant is becoming ripe. I've read though that you can't just gauge when it's time to harvest by the pistils. Get a hand held 30 x magnifying scope and check the tiches (spelling?). Depending on what kind of high you're looking for you have to have the clusters mapped out a certain way, harvesting when they are clear is too early. Half creamy is a head soaring high, half amber trichs is a later harvest with being more of a couch locked high.
Keep me posted on yours! I have a feeling you'll have a better round .

The larger fan leaves on both plants have turned all yellow, while rest of the plant staying green and blooming, fan leaves look like they will all eventually drop. Which is fine I guess, it's close enough to harvest where a little natural manicuring is fine with me . Need to get me a 30 x magnifying scope to check out the trichs. Where's the best deal for one?
P.S Planted my ufo seed last night and it's starting to sprout this morning

Ended up getting the 2nd one. It's on its way. Thank you for the links! You're awesome <3
When I receive it I have a feeling that's around when my buds on the mutant will be ready. Most pistils are orange/red and seeing lots of trichs.

Big fan leaves on the bigger plant are starting to curl up and yellow/brown. However, the buds are ripening and smell amazing and I think they are almost ready for harvest...However I am trying to hold out for my scope to check out the trichs. To my naked eye though they appear different now, some of them are literally sparkling, a few starting to turn orange (Not 100%, like I said naked eye). The two plants' buds are slightly different from each other. The mutant's looks more like an OJ kush, greener leaves and bright orange pistils (with a few red splits). However the bigger plant's buds have sort of a light hazy green to it, not as many orange pistils (Correction there are a lot of orange pistils but they aren't a vibrant orange but a paler softer orange) but a lot more trichs, also it smells AMAZING. Like my finger accidently brushed up against one of the leaves, I smelled it and it seriously smelled like some one held a bag of dro to my face.
I'll post pics to show.
EDIT: Also decided to skip sugar at this point and just start flushing with balanced water to get any fert out of the system that would contaminate the smoke/taste/smell.

People add molasses or other readily available sugar based carbohydrates to their nutrient solutions. It acts as a building block for growth.

The molasses like hawk says helps the plant in growth. Specifically it helps the plant process and make better use of nitrogen (The key element in growth).
Use brown sugar though, it has the molasses you want and its not bleached table sugar. I just mixed some in a water jug when I was flushing. Seemed to work fine.
Anyways, update guys! Close to harvest time! I did some light manicuring on mainly the fan leaves that were dying off. I think i lowered the soil ph a tad too low when I did the lemon but oh well. Right now as stated before I am flushing to get any fert residue out of the plant.
Sorry for the bad quality pics, but there are lots of trichs/orange hairs.

Your plants aren't autoflowering ruderalis hybrids. The size of these plants are perfect for me because the place I am working with only has about 2 feet of height. With these plants I can build a sea of green with the small amount of space I have and get a harvest in 2 months.

They are awesome . Anyways, I am flushing every other day, the bigger plant's buds still smell like fert, the mutant not so much. Every time I flush the water the comes out has this yellow tint to it. Trying to get it so it's clear. Still waiting for my scope, getting impatient lol. I think some of the trichs on the mutant are turning orange. Within two weeks I think I should be harvesting.
Input?
Edit: Also lightly misted the plant to try and get any excess build up that may have accumulated on the remaining foliage

Woah, you don;t flush every other day. Flushing is done like normal watering, expect just a lot more water. And it doesn't make your bud smell different. It helps smooth out the smoke. Misting isn't going to do anything either, unless you have been foliar feeding.
And the run off is always going to have a tint of some sort to it, its going through soil.

Alright, i'll lay off that then, I've only done it twice. I am just frustrated that the buds' smell has the tint of fert in it. I am trying to take tips from the book but nothing so far. Any suggestions?
