Lakers/Thunder is probably going to be the most interesting match-up in this year's playoffs.

I was also rooting for a Heat/Bulls rematch...

Duncan is healthy this year. If him and Manu stay that way the Spurs have a legit chance.

However, I'm about 83.76% sure that OKC will win it this year. They have athleticism, youth, talent and a deep playoff run from last year on their side.

With a two-armed Rondo this year the Celtics have a much higher chance. Plus, Bass has been solid. I like him better than Glen Davis.

Rondo is their biggest advantage. The heat suck at the PG position defensively and if they have to stick Wade on him it will work to their advantage.

The Heat are choking it up again. Wade can't even bail them out.
And Garnett has been a beast in this whole series. If Bosh/Haslem can't slow him down it's over.

Lebron is a great player and a solid lockdown defender but he does tend to disappear in crucial moments offensively. He just doesn't have the offensive repertoire to take over a game, I'm sorry.

He relies too much on brute strength to get to the basket and mid-range pump-fakes to draw fouls. His post game really hasn't improved much and his catch and shoot jumper along with his pull-up jumper going to his right are average at best. If teams can keep Lebron out of the paint and out of transition, he almost always struggles and just turns into a point-forward who would rather defer to his teammates.

He actually reminds me a lot of Karl Malone. Who, no one would argue, is a great player. However, he constantly disappeared in tight situations down the stretch (where John Stockton would have to bail them out).

Miami managed to hold Garnett to 12 points and 5 rebounds tonight. Pierce had a horrid shooting night, too. Game 7 time, awwwwwwwwyeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhh.

They definitely have the more complete team. The Heat still lack a reliable PG and Center.

Mario chalmers is fine on the offensive end. He reminds me a bit of BJ Armstrong. A decent jump shooter who can hit open shots down the stretch and slash to the basket given enough room. Although he does make some pretty wild drives to the basket that result in turnovers, he's been better about it this year.

It's mostly his defense that is the problem. He falls asleep on his man often and makes a lot of questionable gambles off the ball, and his help/recovery defense is pretty bad a lot of the time. JJ Barea and Jason Terry killed him last year in the finals for those reasons, Westbrook and Harden will probably take advantage, too.

As for their "center", Bosh can play center but, like Chalmers, he struggles on the defensive end when playing that position. Offensively, though, he's athletic and can take just about any big man off the dribble and spread the floor when his jumpers are falling.

It's mostly his rebounding and ability to defend in the post that are inconsistent. The Heat really don't have anybody who can anchor their interior defense when Lebron and Wade are gambling in the passing lanes and double-teaming/trapping wing players. That's why they have a hard time against teams who play inside-out and throw a Flex Offense at them every once in a while to spread the floor in the halfcourt (Bulls, Pacers, Celtics, Magic are decent examples).

Why do you think Tyson Chandler was such a big part of Dallas winning last year? He allowed everyone else on Dallas to pressure the hell out of the Heat's wing players without sacrificing their interior help defense. Bosh doesn't provide that same luxury.

every time someone asks Lebron for change for a dollar he always lacks a 4th quarter. tonight was no exception. :smilingpuppy:

Pshaw. This was the first finals game where Lebron scored more than 25 points. That's nothing to be too proud of. I'm not hating on the guy and honestly couldn't care which team wins, really. Everything I've said comes from the games I've watched and, even since before the FA crap with Miami, Lebron has had nothing but average to bad games (and 4th quarters) in the finals.

Wade played like crap, too. He's been getting worse and worse every year in the playoffs. My guess is that age and injuries are catching up with him. He hasn't developed a good-enough outside game to compensate against teams like OKC who can really pack the paint with their length and, because of that, he's been struggling. Also, Sefolosha is no joke. He played Wade and Lebron fearlessly and, pretty much, rallied the Thunder's defense/transition game in the second half.

Bosh was defensively inept at protecting the interior and rebounded like crap, as usual.

And Mario Chalmers didn't disappoint either. He did exactly what I said he would. He constantly fell asleep on his man in transition and, on top of that, got beat off the dribble by just about everybody except Fisher.

It's not just Lebron, but as their leader you'd think he'd be trying to lead by example and pick up his game in the 4th quarter rather than just putting up good numbers for the first 3 and then chucking up a couple lackadaisical turn around jumpshots when the other team is building momentum. Watch him at the end of a game, seriously, it's like he thinks his clout will just put the ball in the basket whenever he throws it up there.

It's not that he missed 2 shots in the 4th quarter in this game, those were just some of the many examples I could have given to make my point: which is that he has been repeatedly having poor 4th quarters and games in the finals while other players like Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki and, tonight, Kevin Durant, all outplay him (especially as time winds down).

Also, at least read the box score before you're going to defend Wade's horrid shooting night. He wasn't deferring to his teammates for the good of the team, he shot 7 for 19 from the field and committed some pretty costly turnovers.

Haha, and why are you even defending him after you say:

I call him out and then you pretend like he had a bad night on purpose? You must be a Miami homer.

I don't think many people really "hate" Lebron as much as they just don't respect him as a professional athlete because of his attitude.

I'm not one of those people, though. I just think he's a choke artist and have since before he even went to Miami.

Although, to be fair, Shaq was a monster. Him and Wade were nearly unstoppable in the P&R. If he would've stayed in shape he probably would've been, without a doubt, the most dominant player of this era.

Picklez, pls. you have to start thinking for yourself and question authority and the only way you can do that is to stop being one of the sheeple and accept mota's point of view in lieu of your own. it's the only way you can be a totally non-conformist master of all reality, bro.
