Of course your cookie work through a proxie!?!?
Proxy is what hid your IP. None of this has anything to do with how your browser works. They will see you were previously logged in with your old account on the proxies IP.
If you clear you're cookies and cache, THAN use a proxy it should all work.

on another note, the site uses a cookie to keep you logged in just while you're there, if you erase all cookies every time you leave the site, won't they still be able to track you while you're there from the cookies the site is currently using?

I have to admit though, I did log in to his account after he posted his his password, haha. But it was just to see if it worked, for the hell of it. I'm sure many others did too, I didn't go so far as to vandalize his account though, but anyone could have seen that coming.....come on
