It's probably just the smell of the bud man. Some bud has a chemical like smell to it.

Alright..that puts my mind at ease a bit then. I'll just relax and wait for my scope to check out the trichs then and stick to the plan. Thank you

Might harvest tomorrow, it'll still be maybe a week before I get my scope and even with my naked eye I am seeing about 30-40% orange trichs, the rest are brilliant sparkling/cloudy.

Hawk would prob know better. My only experience is with these plants and all I can say is that the two plants smell slightly different. The mutant is more aromatic and sweeter smelling. The bigger plant smells more..."green", or well...like diesel gasoline (Without as much the gasoline ) as corny as that sounds. I work out in the country so I am used to the smell from my tractor fuel and I was just now smelling it again to try and answer this and I was surprised to realize that "You know...it kinda does smell like diesel.."

Not overwhelmingly like it, the under tones do. I just harvested my mutant and finished manicuring it(Feel like I could have done better but first time doing it I suppose I did alright). As stated before the mutant one smells extra sweeter, but also does have that undertone like the other plant. Pic up soon.
Again sorry for bad pics...also like I said doing my best with the manicuring. The smaller leaves are annoying... any tips from the pros or comments?
Double edit: Was just looking I don't think there's one pistil that didn't turn brown/reddish

so HOLY CRAP MY SHITS STRONG!!!! Im not just saying this because its MY weed, that's lame. If i grew weak ass shit I would tell you guys so I could learn where I went wrong (I know I am still a noobie), but THANK YOU to everyone here especially you hawk, and thank you budgrower for being an awesome person talk to and keeping up with me. I really appreciated that support.....but anyways MY SHITS STRONG Lawl
So i just smoked a bowl and half of a mix of leaf clippings, fallen buds, pistils......creeper....and holy crap it is strong!....idk what else to say! Lawl and its not even dried/cured yet (Though the leaves and plant were pretty dry in general, +They are kept in temps higher then most growers use...so they probably dried a good bit on the actual plant already. Leafs were brittle

Also to note...upon gently squeezing the buds they are not brittle (Meaning they are not falling apart from the pressure), but they also feel completely dry....I felt no moisture...so maybe that's why it is strong at this point?
All the chemical got dried from its acidic non psycho active form to its neutral active form?

If you flushed for a week or so you don't have any fert in your plant. And the fert doesn't get you higher or anything, just causes a harsher smoke.

No no, you misunderstand. I wasn't talking about the fert chem hawk I mean the THC chemical. In the grow bible it says fresh mj is not that potent because it needs to be dried so the chemical is converted to the state that gives us that high. My buds feel already slow dried (not cured) from the heat so I think that's why my high felt so surprisingly strong (I wasn't expecting much since I just picked it, was just sampling the droppings)
You get what I am saying?

As for the taste, it doesn't taste like fuel at all but you do get that dirty(Not bad dirty)undertone of a very unique flavor I can't describe better other then saying I understand why they call it disiel now..
However it is also very sweet! Especially the mutant, I have just been smoking off it. Its buds were already dry, I probably had .5 a gram for all day. It is not a fruity sweet, but just this aromatic dro sweetness. Like a fresh apple or fruit you like. The first hit (smoking out of my bowl I named lucky charms :P). WHERE'S ME LUCKY CHARMS!!! lol
I sampled the bigger plant just for the taste since I could feel there was still slight moisture still in it, not wet but still damp, letting it cure. It was quite as sweet but very potent and displayed more of those under tones, I wonder if the two plants were two different Disiel hybrids because they look slightly different in look as well.
The bigger plant has more of a desert look with beautiful orange pistils every where, some of them a pale dusted orange. Just sparkling.
The mutant obviously smaller but very potent, it is about 60% creeper also it has more pistils that are more oak brown with a reddish tint and cover the whole bud. You get a nice immediate slight body high and energy, and then when the creeper hits you get an increase in the body high but still retain the energy.

Kind of pointless to take clones off an auto flower since they automatically flower in such a shorter period of time.
