So I plant to do an ak48 scrog in my 3X3 tent with 400w HPS and my 90W ufo Using DWC Buckets. This would be my first scrog. I was planning to LST it first so that it branches out before it even hits the screen. Now I guess I'm hung up on the fact I am using regular seeds. I can only fit 2 girls Max in the tent. When doing a scrog I was under the understanding you veg the plants to fill the screen then flower. Well How would I know whats male and female before I fill the screen. I guess I'm wondering how to sex early enough to still fill the screen with whatever females I have left.
The only way to do this would be to take clones of all of your plants, and then force flower the big ones to see which is which. Then take the clones from the ones that are female and start them in the Scrog. If you don't want to go to that trouble, I would recommend LST for your first go, and then ScRog going forward with the clones.
