When buying HPS bulbs are the more expensive bulbs worth it? Does using the cheapest HPS bulb lead to schwagy buds? I know there are like $65 bulbs is that best?

$65 is not even close to the most expensive HPS bulb. I've payed well over $150 for the top of the line bulbs, and to answer your question, no I don't see enough of a difference to justify the price. One could argue that even a 1% yield increase on a 1000W bulb could be worth a ton of money over the lifetime of the bulb (since cannabis has such high street prices), but if you don't have the money to spring for the high end bulb don't sweat it.

Cool awesome, but would getting a slightly better bulb add like blue to the spectrum or something and increase yeild? Also would the light look different? I've heard that a standard HPS is more like a street light, and the better bulbs are more of a white light. The bulb in question would be 400w.

Yeah I agree with Harry. In my opinion and experience Ultra Sun does just as well as an EYE Hortilux Super HPS, at a faction of the price..

Spectrum is key for flowering you would want somewhere around 2000 to 2100k, but you don't have to pay retarded prices to get it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400w-Ultra-Sun-HPS-Bulb-hydroponic-grow-bloom-lamp-ultrasun-light-/200704795390?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebaf022fe

Theoretically yes. It really depends on your budget, if you can't afford it then don't sweat it, but if you've got some extra cash you'll see some yield increase. Not a ton, but perhaps enough to pay for the bulb over the course of a year or so.
