So, I've been looking into making my own absinthe for a while, since the store bought ones are pretty lame.
I was browsing an ebay store when I found 1 oz of dried wormwood for only $4. When I order some other things, I'm going to order that too.
I was just going to dump the whole 1oz into a bottle of vodka and let it chill for a few months, then drink it.
I read some recipes on erowid and it says to only use like 2 tsp per bottle...that could have been a big fuckup for me if I drank a bunch of shots of super extra potent absinthe.
Has anyone made it themselves? I don't want to have to drink an entire bottle of this shit to feel the effects...

There's some wormwood in my Mamajuana, so I guess it's pretty similar than Absinthe, though I the kind of high is really different.

I drank a bottle of Absinthe on 2 hits of e once.
It was a shit show of a night. i went to piss on my neighbors door (dont ask), and he turned his light on and busted me

the one time i tried absinthe, I fell in love. Soooo good of a buzz. so good. so good.
But every time I go to the liquor store, I forget to get it. Like diapers

Also, just asked my homie who made it a few weeks ago. I guess 1oz per liter of vodka is pretty OK. Hopefully he didn't mean 2 liters LOL.
He said to just drink one or two shots because its stronggggggg. I'll bump this thread up when I make it and then again when I test it.

The legit kind IS legal in america now, you just have to read the bottle close because the fake ones are still out there.
Be prepared to spend like $40 on 750ml though.
That, and I doubt they'll ever make it as strong as you could at home. He said "2-3 shots is strong" and he knows what STRONG is, ya know? I doubt anything in the store could get you real lifted from 2-3 shots, or it'd be outlawed again just as fast.

I had some homemade shit made with grain alcohol spiced with anise/licorice or whatever. I don't really remember much though besides more vibrant colors.

 sounds good to me.
I'm just hoping I don't get real hammered and not feel it and then decide to keep it up with the bottle, and then have it come on full force lol. I just see that happening.
