Looking at 2 cameras...

Anyone with any experience, if you could help me out that'd be awesome. I was gonna try to password recovery my account at the shroomery and ask them...but ugh, thats a whole thing. And I totally forgot what email address I used when I signed up there.
So...
Heres the two I'm looking at:
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-Wide-Angle-Stabilized-3-0-Inch/dp/B005I6DVC0
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fuji-600009116/16474690
I'm leaning towards the fujifilm one.
I mainly use the camera for macro pics, so keep that in mind for me.
Thanks, and I appreciate any input.

I currently have a fujifilm finepix lower end camera. While I really do like it, its just not cutting it anymore.
I'm reading up on the macros of both cameras, and I see on the Canon someone said:
" I used macro mode to take pictures of business cards and I can zoom in and see the hairs of the paper. Very impressive, very important to me."
That sounds really nice...its weird, because I can't find that particular Fujifilm model off of Walmarts website...which kinda freaks me out. I'm not opposed to that brand or anything, but I just can't find much about that particular model.
The Canon also offers a manual mode which offers so much more control. One of my biggest gripes about my current camera is that it ONLY autofocuses.

I think you will be happy either way you go, but it seems like the Cannon might be the better fit. Even though the Fiji seems to come with more stuff

I think that bundle is actually not whats for sale on Black Friday, its just the camera and 100 free prints
I'll keep reading and take everyones opinion into account. I still got a few weeks to decide.

You are going out into the black friday madness?
I am going to try and pick me up a few things as well. I need to get a wedding present/ christmas present for my mom and her new husband and something for my grandparents as well who are flying over from England in a couple weeks.
I really want a camera and/or a TV

I've got a 10mp Fuji Finepix that I like fairly well. Still haven't completely learned all the features but I have managed to get some alright macros out of it. I could only imagine the 14mp is that much better.

I feel like beyond a certain point megapixels only matters if you are blowing your pictures up and printing them out.

I always do haha. My moms had me going since I was like 10 to help her out. I like it...I'm always attracted to events that could potentially turn into riots

Nice, I have never gone before. Only time I even did anything like that was when the Nintendo Wii came out. Me and my fiance at the time got in line overnight and camped out to buy 4 nintendo wii's. That was a good Christmas

After reading pretty extensively, I think I've already decided on the Canon, unless someone who really knows what they're talking about comes in here and convinces me otherwise.
It just seems like the Canon is more out there and more reviewed than the other camera. I can't find very much info on the other one, but theres a lot of reviews and sample pics and whatnot on the web.
And I think I'll be getting myself a $100 Wii on Black Friday too. I sold my old one and I kinda miss modding it. Its not like I'll ever have to buy a game.

Personally I'd go for the Canon of the two. The Fuji link won't work for me but a wide angle is a good addition.
Screw digital cameras though, I stick with film.
----------------------------------------- edit: The link works now. But still, I'd go for the Canon.

I always had trouble getting canon's to interface well with pc's but that was a couple years ago...maybe they fixed things? Although because of it I would never buy another canon video cam or digicam again.

I have trouble with all of the cameras ive ever had pc interface wise, simple solution is to just transfer the pictures with a SD card and just never plug the camera in to the computer or install anything

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I'm a Canon guy, but that fuji one looks pretty badass. I don't have time to read up on it, but see about the manual settings you can use with it. Canons generally have a lot of flexibility, I took some pretty awesome macro shots with my Canon Powershot A720 IS when I had it way back when
Sure not amazing examples but yeah, I like Canon technology!
Plus, getting sharper looking macro shots in Photoshop is easy to do. If you have a non-blurry photo you've taken you want the details to come out of better, duplicate the photo layer, Filters > Other > High Pass Filter (play around with the settings until you see the most definition in the lines), change that layer blending most to Soft Light, voila

This time of year makes me wish I had a subscription to "Consumer Reports," magazine. I used to love those things when I worked in sales. I used to use them to sell fitness equipment and they were just fun to read in general
Might have to go grab one today considering I will be spending quite a bit this holiday season
